Harper's Adventure

Anders opened his eyes. "What happened? I feel like shit!" He still didn't move.

"You scared the shit out of us!" Charlie, Lee and Krista were standing by him. Krista dove at him and hugged him, hard. She stood back by Lee. She had been so scared for him. He was her friend and she couldn't lose him.

"Am I alive?"

"Well, no. Well, no more than before." Lee said and smiled.

Something was off. "Where is Harper?" He looked around and didn't see Harper. He would be here.

"Well, Anders..." Charlie was scared to tell him.

"What?" He was about to panic. He sat up and felt very weak. Lee handed him a bag and Anders bit into it. He was relieved. He finished. "Harper? Where is he?"

"Uh, he saved your life." Charlie began.

"That boy of yours is amazing, Son." A voice beside him said.

Anders looked at his dad. "Harper?"

His dad smiled and looked sad.

Anders looked around. He knew what happened. "Please say you didn't let him..."

"Let him? We didn't let him do anything, Anders. We couldn't stop him." Charlie said.

Lee stepped in. "You know how he is."

"Is? Is he alive?" Anders was scared. Krista handed him another bag. "Tell me!" He demanded and growled as he drank the contents in seconds.

"Yes and no." Lee answered.

"Uh, What?" Anders almost didn't want to know. "Please, don't tell me he..."

"Of course he did. He loves you, man!" Charlie smiled. "He's fine. Dead but fine. He's waiting for you. Pierce is with him."

"Where?"

"Bus." Lee answered and Anders was gone. His dad jumped and stared at the empty table where Anders was just laying.

Harper woke up on the bed in the back of the bus. It was quiet. There was someone storming through the bus and the door flew open. "Harper?" Anders was freaking out.

"Anders." Harper was standing and in his arms.

He touched Harper's face and smiled at his face. "You are an idiot, stupid man!"

"Me! It was your idea to go get shot!" Harper glared.

"You shouldn't have done that for me. You are a vampire for me." Anders stared at him and touched his face.

Harper smiled. "Not for you. It's always been a dream of mine to become a vampire in a crazy rushed decision while trying to save some arrogant asshole's life."

Anders laughed. "Good to know that I could help fulfill your dream. I love you!"

"I love you. Are you okay?" Harper was scared.

"I'm better. How...aren't you going to get into trouble? We're not supposed to turn just anyone." Anders was scared for Harper's life now.

Harper smiled. "No. I turned in all of my favors. I got permission and was registered before I was turned." Anders lifted an eyebrow in surprise. "I didn't have time to be nice either. I yelled and threatened Hale. His wife, Blair, helped me. I owe her a couple of favors now."

"I am so sorry about that." Anders touched Harper's face and kissed him gently. Anders knew that he killed Harper and Harper let him.

Harper kissed him. "Now isn't the time to be gentle, Anders." He smiled. Harper was expecting to blush but he wasn't human anymore.

Anders laughed and tackled him and they fell to the couch. They were tangled together the rest of the day. Harper didn't want to see the sun, he wasn't ready yet.
