Chapter 14: lovesick

We sit outside for a while during lunch as we talk and chat. Carlos left to go to football practice.
Natalie and her friends were at the football practice fangirling over the boys.
Carmen Natalie's older sister comes up to us.
"Where's Carlos?". She says.
Oscar looks at me. "Football practice". He says.
"Well once you see him, tell him I need to talk to him urgently". She blabs.
Oscar glances in my direction.
"Yes Oscar" i say.
"They had a fling back in the day". He says.
"She's in Jackson's year".
"That's nice to know" as I get up.
"Where you going?". Tina asks
"Bathroom". I say "Want me to come?". She says.
I smile and say it's fine.

I head inside and spot Jackson talking to Natalie.
"You're his best mate try and set a date for us". As she begs him.
"I don't know honestly but I'll try". He says.
She kisses his cheeks as she runs off excitedly.
Oh great looks like everyone is after him.
Jackson sees me and asks if I'm okay. I follow him to his class and see Carmen and her friends.
Two boys join Jackson
"Come on then let's go I'm driving". He says.
We get into the car and I realised I left my phone with Oscar and the others. It's fine we won't be gone for long.

We get food and have a look at Jackson's new car. We come back and as soon as I open the car door Carlos is standing in front of us.
"Wow man, I was nearly about to run you over".
Ignoring what my brother said. Carlos says
"Where did you go?". As he stares at me.
"Oh I took her with me to get fresh air". Jackson says.
Carlos throws my phone to me.
"Next time don't leave it behind". As he walks away.
Jackson says "He has a point sis".
