Chapter 5: A new friend

Finally it was home time, I left early because I had to go home alone as Jackson has football and mother was gonna be late.
As I was walking home, I heard someone call out my name. "Anastasia". I turn around and smile. It's Oscar and next to him was a girl.
"Hey" I say. "Ellie meet Anastasia and Anastasia meet Ellie". We exchange greetings as she smiles. "Ellie is my childhood friend". He says.

We all walk home together talking about school when my phone rings. It's Jackson. I pick up the call and Jackson says "Where are you?".
"Im heading home" I say. I can hear another voice in the background all muffled.
"Who you with?" He asks.
I reply "Oscar and his friend, why is everything okay?". He cuts the call and then i continue walking.
"Right this is my stop Anastasia, I'll see you tomorrow at school". We say goodbye to each other as I'm left with Ellie. Ellie looks around and says "Isn't that Carlos?, what's he doing here?, he doesn't live here". She yells his name as we walk towards him.
She acts all flirty as she talks to Carlos, but Carlos doesn't look my way at all. I edge backwards trying to find a reason to leave but Carlos notices and says "Why you girls out here by yourself?". Ellie explains the situation as she twirls and fiddles with her hair.
"I gotta go now, I'm expected at home". I  say "Yeah that's fine, you go I'll stay with Carlos". Carlos butts in "I have to get Jacksons football kit as he asked me to get it, so I'll go with Anny". "Anny?". Ellie says confused. "I call Anastasia that, it's more easier to pronounce" he says.

We leave Ellie at the nearest bus stop and I walk side by side with Carlos.
"There's no need to come I'll get Jacksons kit". I say. Carlos stops and looks at me.
"You think everything is about you?". He says.
"Not really, his my brother so it's easier for me". I beam.
My phone starts to ring as I quickly attend to it. "I'm just round the corner" as I reply to mother.
Jackson must have told mother.
"Who is it?" As Carlos looks in my eyes.
"My mother she wants to know how far I am".
He grins "Are you a kid, for her to be checking up on you?".
"What's it to you?" I say. He grabs me by the arm and pushes me to the wall.
"I don't know where you're getting this attitude from, the other day you were crying don't you remember?". 
"Let me go, or I'll scream" I say. "Go for it" as he looks at my lips.
My phone rings again and he looks at me and says "Don't you dare".
"Carlos please let me go, Jackson will be back soon". I say worriedly.
"Sod him, do you think I'm scared of him?". He looks at my lips as he speaks.
A couple of pedestrians walk by leading him to let me go. He backs away as he walks in the opposite direction.
"See you tomorrow Anny". As he heads off.
