chapter 8- you are not the person you claim to be

Kaycee’s pov

I looked at carrie with an amused look while she was talking on the phone. Why was I amuzed? BECAUSE carrie wasn’t the type of girl that smiles when she talks to a dude or anyone for that matter on the phone. Who was she talking to anyways? Could it be some one special to finally make carrie smile through a phone conversation?

She said fairwell to her boleved caller and hung up.

“who was that?” I stated making her jump a little and frowned but her frown imidiately turned into a smirk.

“who was what?”  she answered as she picked her book up and studied it.

“the caller? The person that made you smile through the phone? Was it someone special?” I said giving her a CAN-YOU-SERIOUSLY-BE –SERIOUS-LOOK.

“Ohh.. the caller.. uhmm just someone and infact I wasn’t smiling kaycee. What are you talking about? You must be seeing things. She replied. Ohhh I see, she was teasing me. well played my friend well played.

“urggg! Tell me now or ill burn this thing. I quickly snatched her oh so interesting book which made her glare at me.

“too shay. Okay! Okay! It was Louis okay? Happy!?!” she retorted as she grabbed her book back.

So it was Louis… wait… what?!?!

“what!? Louis!?!? OMFG!! WHAT DID HE SAY!!” I jumped at her like a little kid and shook her shoulders.

“okay! Geezz  calm down a little! He just wanted to return my headphones! And…. There was utter silence so I glared at her one more time giving her a confused look as I motioned for her to continue.

“uhmmm he kind of.. asked me out?” she said which kind of came out as a question. I took a look at her strangely rosy cheeks. Wait.. was she BLUSHING? Call me crazy but I have NEVER  and I mean never seen carrie blush EVER.

“really!?! Oh my god?? Ahhh  im so happy for you!!” I engulfed her in a hug. She was pretty startled at first but she eventually hugged me back.

“are you excited?” I took a look at her facial expressions as I studied her. She’s pretty hard to read. You never know what she thinks about. VERY UNPREDICTABLE INDEED

“ARE YOU KIDDING ME!??! OF COURSE!! IM EXCITED!” She said with a bit of sarcasm in her voice. Typical carrie.

“okaaayyy then. Good luck! Im going to bed now, you coming? I seriously felt like a pregnant woman right now.  Iam So freakin tired.

“nahhh.. I have to memorize this chapter, or else ill never hear the end of it from seph” she groaned as she slammed her face unto her thick book.

“you sure? I mean you need your beauty sleep. Yah know to impress the sass master.” I said winking at her.

“haha! Kayc very funny indeed. This is why you always end up memorizing at the last minute.” She said as she took a sip of her coffee.

“you are such a nerd sometimes! At least I have fun!” I retorted as grabbed my over sized teddy bear.

“yeah. Sure. Fun!” she answered not even bothering to give me a look because she was so consentrated on the book.

“okay then. Have fun with your physics book! Night carrie!  I said as I walked away in my pajamas.

“night kaycee!” I heard carrie shout from down stairs.

I opened my room and jumped right to my bed. I stared at my ceiling just waiting for the “sand-man” to come pull me into my deep sleep.
