Effie goes Missing

After the whole scam ,My entire family moved to Barcelona. Tariq,Noah and Effie shifted to Barcelona a bit earlier than us .
We put the past behind us and decided to start life afresh in a new city.

Kylie's pov"
I frantically searched for Effie.
I clearly recall our last conversation as it replayed in my mind.
"Meet me at the beach at sunset,"Effie had said.
But Effie Never showed up.
My worry grew.

I called Effie's phone,but it went straight to voicemail.

Nathan's expression turned grave.
"We need to find her, Kylie"he deadpans.

Suddenly Fross showed up"count me in"he bluntly says.

"To heck with your fake concern if you cared you wouldn't have scammed us in the first place."I shut him up.

Fross's tone softened "Listen I admit,I scammed you and Effie but I kinda care for her,at first I thought it's my Uncle but it ain't him "

Before I could snap at him,he raised his voice in concern saying"Effie's In grave danger he said.
"My uncle's old associates might still be a threat.

Nathan quickly sends Lee Ronalds a voicemail that explains the current situation we are going through.

Lee Ronalds immediately turns up a video call.
His face clearly darkened and this was clearly visible on the video call.

"I'll handle my old associates."Lee Ronalds reassures us.

The group split up, scouring Barcelona.
As night fell,My anxiety intensified.

Where could Effie be?
Suddenly,My phone buzzed.

A cryptic text from an unknown number.
"Effie's safe , for now."

My heart sank.
Who could this be?and what does he want?

Zak and I quickly rush to the streets,we carefully scan the crowded streets, My heart racing.

Nathan and Fross flanked me, equally worried.
Any leads?"Nathan asked.

I shake my head."Nothing,no one's seen or heard from Effie"

"But I received a cryptic text from an unknown number saying she's safe for now"I tell the search team.

Fross's jaw clenched.
"We need to check with my uncle's old associates. someone must know something."

Lee Ronald's expression turned grim.
"I'll make some calls."

As we continued our search,the sun dipped below the horizon.

Barcelona's nightlife awakened,but My hope began to fade.

Where could Effie be?
The cryptic text haunted me.

"Effie is safe for now."

What did it mean!

Suddenly,My phone buzzed again.

Another text from the unknown number.
"Stop searching you'll never find her."
My determination intensified.

Then Flashbacks of the moments I shared with Effie came to my mind like a movie in a movie theatre.

"I won't give up,"I vowed.

Nathan's eyes narrowed.
"This is personal.who ever has Effie wants to hurt you, Kylie."

Fross's face set a resolute expression "we'll find her,No matter what."

The night wore on, Effie's whereabouts remaining a mystery.

"Dude!!wake up my girl is Missing and you'll snoring like babies in a baby rack."I bluntly deadpan at them.

"MY GIRL"!They all repeat while giving me  shocked facials,with eyes wide open.

I shake my head "I am going to file a missing persons report"

"HOLD ON LITTLE BRO!" Nathan and Zak say from behind

"Fross and I will go file the report"Nathan exclaims.
Meanwhile "You along with Zak should immediately start tracking down the unknown number before it's too late.

We all stick to the plan and wait for half an hour for any reports.

"Ms.Paige was last spotted at the Barcelona waterfront,near the old warehouse district,on the 25th of October around 5pm.
According to the security cameras four armed thugs identified to be Russians knocked her down and dragged her to an expensive Ford ranger with no number plate, Later that day a similar car was found in a critical condition with five
dead bodies"The secret investigator pours the information to us.

"Russian thugs!" Nathan and Zak exclaim .

The three of us sit-down and think as to who could be behind Effie's sudden disappearance.

Suddenly lights go off and a creepy voice says out loud"Oh hello sons!long time no see come to papa"

As light's turn back on we turn to face the person.

Looking at the person sends shivers  down our spines then suddenly we blackout.

Ufff! sorry for ending this part in such suspense
