The knife in Jeonghan's trembling hand felt cold against his skin, its sharp edge grazing his wrist as he stood in the dim light of his dorm room. Tears streamed down his face, his heart pounding with a mixture of fear and resignation. His mind was clouded with darkness, overwhelmed by everything the relentless torment, the terrifying grip of Seungcheol, the brutal slap from the inspector. It was all too much. There was no way out, no escape from the cage closing in around him.
He closed his eyes, gripping the blade tighter, ready to end the suffering once and for all. Just as the knife began to press into his flesh, images of Joshua and Seokmin flashed through his mind his only family, the ones who had stood by him, loved him, and protected him as best they could. Jeonghan choked back a sob, whispering a soft, broken apology to them, knowing they couldn't hear him.
"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..."
But he wasn't alone.
In the shadows, Seungcheol watched, his dark eyes narrowed as he observed Jeonghan's every move, his face twisted with fury. His obsession had consumed him completely, and seeing Jeonghan even think about ending his life was enough to tip him over the edge into something far darker than before. Jeonghan had made the biggest mistake of his life, and Seungcheol wasn't about to let it slide.
Before Jeonghan could press the knife deeper, the door flew open, and a chilling voice filled the room. "What do you think you're doing?"
Jeonghan's breath hitched in his throat, and the knife slipped from his hand, clattering to the floor. He turned to see Seungcheol standing there, his figure looming like a shadow of death. His eyes were cold, empty of any warmth, but brimming with something far more terrifying, rage. The air around him seemed to thicken with his presence, suffocating the room.
"You thought you could end it? Just like that?" Seungcheol's voice was low and dangerous as he stepped forward, his eyes never leaving Jeonghan. "You thought you could escape me?"
Jeonghan's legs gave way, and he stumbled backward, but there was nowhere to run. Seungcheol closed the distance between them, his hand gripping Jeonghan's wrist in a vice-like hold, pulling him close. His voice dropped to a whisper, filled with a venomous possessiveness. "You belong to me. Don't you ever forget that."
Jeonghan's tears flowed freely, his whole body trembling in Seungcheol's iron grip. He tried to break free, to pull away, but Seungcheol's hold tightened as he back-hugged Jeonghan, the force of his arms almost suffocating.
"You wanted to see what happens when you disobey me?" Seungcheol hissed into his ear. "Then you will see."
Without another word, Seungcheol dragged Jeonghan out of his dorm, his strength overpowering any resistance. Jeonghan barely had time to process what was happening as they reached an abandoned building far from the university, far from anyone who could help. The dark, empty halls echoed with dread as Seungcheol pulled him into a room, and Jeonghan froze in horror at the sight before him.
Inspector Cha was tied to a chair, bloodied and bruised, his face swollen from the brutal beating he had already endured. His eyes were wide with fear as he saw Seungcheol enter, and Jeonghan felt his stomach twist with nausea.
"This," Seungcheol growled, "is what happens to anyone who dares to touch what's mine."
Before Jeonghan could look away, Seungcheol forced his chin up, his fingers digging into Jeonghan's jaw, making him face the horror in front of him. Jeonghan whimpered, tears blurring his vision as he tried to close his eyes, but Seungcheol's grip was relentless, keeping him from turning away.
"You're going to watch," Seungcheol whispered darkly, "because this is your punishment."
Jeonghan's breath came in ragged gasps as Seungcheol raised a blade of his own, sharp and glinting in the dim light. Inspector Cha tried to plead, his words a garbled mess of fear, but it was too late. Seungcheol showed no mercy, his blade slicing through the inspector's flesh with a brutality that was beyond human. The room filled with the sickening sound of flesh tearing, blood spilling across the floor in thick pools, and the inspector's screams were like the echoes of hell itself.
Jeonghan sobbed, his whole body shaking as he tried to close his eyes, tried to block out the horror, but Seungcheol's grip was like steel, holding him in place. Every second felt like an eternity, the violence unfolding before him too much to bear. His mind cracked under the weight of it, his vision blurring as the world spun. The last thing he saw before everything went dark was Seungcheol's cold, cruel smile and the blood staining his hands.
Jeonghan passed out, the terror overwhelming him, but before the darkness consumed him completely, he felt Seungcheol's lips on his forehead, a kiss too soft, too gentle for the nightmare he had just witnessed.
"You're mine," Seungcheol whispered possessively against Jeonghan's ear, placing a soft kiss on his bruised lips. "Forever."
As Jeonghan slipped into unconsciousness, Seungcheol lifted his limp body into his arms with ease, cradling him as if he were the most precious thing in the world. The night was silent as he carried Jeonghan away, taking him far from the city and back to his mansion, a place where no one could ever touch him again.
Jeonghan belonged to him now. And no one, not even Jeonghan himself, could change that.
