The mansion felt like a prison, each shadow lurking in the corners a reminder of the darkness that enveloped Jeonghan's life. The echoes of Joshua's desperate cries haunted him, reverberating through his mind, mingling with the sound of Seungcheol's voice, the low, possessive murmur that had become both a comfort and a torment.

Days turned into a blur as Jeonghan struggled to adjust to his new reality. Seungcheol kept him close, always within arm's reach, his eyes never straying far. The intimacy that once felt like warmth now suffocated him, and the heavy pendant around his neck, a cruel reminder of his captivity, weighed on him like a leaden chain.

In the quiet hours of the night, when the world outside the mansion was cloaked in silence, Jeonghan often found himself lying awake, staring at the ceiling, lost in a storm of thoughts. The darkness was both a cocoon and a cage, the boundaries of his life defined by Seungcheol's obsessive need to keep him near. But within that darkness, seeds of rebellion began to sprout. Jeonghan yearned for freedom, for a chance to escape the twisted love that chained him to a man who thrived in shadows.

One stormy night, the wind howled outside like a beast unleashed. Lightning flashed, illuminating the room in brief bursts, casting eerie shadows that danced across the walls. Jeonghan sat on the edge of the bed, heart racing, contemplating a plan that felt both reckless and necessary. Seungcheol had left for a meeting, and Jeonghan knew he had limited time.

With shaking hands, he pulled open the drawer of the nightstand, revealing a small silver knife, its blade glinting ominously in the dim light. Jeonghan had discovered it days earlier while cleaning, a remnant of Seungcheol's darker dealings. It felt both dangerous and liberating to hold it. He contemplated using it against himself, a way to escape the hell he found himself in, but another thought lingered. Perhaps it could be a means to fight back, a tool of desperation in a world that sought to control him.

He stood, clutching the knife tightly, the cold metal grounding him as he paced the room, anxiety coursing through his veins. The urge to flee surged within him, but the reality of Seungcheol's grip over him stilled his heart. A part of him still feared what Seungcheol would do if he found out. Would he kill to keep his possession?

As if summoned by his thoughts, the door swung open, and Seungcheol entered, his presence filling the room with an overwhelming intensity. He stopped short, eyes narrowing as he took in the sight of Jeonghan standing there, the knife glimmering in his hand. "What are you doing?" he asked, his voice low and dangerous.

Jeonghan's heart raced, fear colliding with defiance. "I'm taking control, Seungcheol," he said, his voice steady despite the tremor in his hands. "I won't be your prisoner any longer."

Seungcheol's expression shifted, a mixture of rage and twisted admiration crossing his features. "You think you can fight me?" he chuckled darkly, taking a step forward. "You think you have the power to escape? You're mine, Jeonghan. Forever."

Jeonghan felt a surge of anger, a fire igniting within him as he stepped back, clutching the knife tighter. "I refuse to be your possession! I'm not an object for you to keep! You've taken everything from me!" His voice rose, the pent-up fear and frustration spilling over.

The air between them crackled with tension, Seungcheol's expression shifting from amusement to something darker, something primal. "You want to fight me? To hurt yourself?" His voice dropped to a whisper, filled with an intoxicating blend of menace and desire. "You don't understand what that would mean. If you do, there will be consequences."

Jeonghan met his gaze, heart racing as the reality of his situation sunk in. He could feel the weight of Seungcheol's possessiveness bearing down on him, a suffocating force that threatened to crush his spirit. But a part of him felt alive for the first time, the thrill of defiance sparking a dangerous exhilaration. "I don't care about the consequences," he spat, the knife trembling in his grip. "I'll do whatever it takes to be free."

Seungcheol's smile faded, replaced by a cold, calculating stare. He stepped closer, his presence overwhelming, and Jeonghan's breath caught in his throat. "You think I will let you go?" he said, his voice a low growl. "I'll show you what happens to those who defy me."

In one swift motion, Seungcheol closed the distance between them, his hand snapping out to seize the knife from Jeonghan's grip. The blade clattered to the floor, forgotten as Seungcheol's fingers curled around Jeonghan's wrist, holding him tightly. "You want to be free? You think you can escape my love? You're marked as mine, and I will never let you go."

Jeonghan's heart raced as he felt the intensity of Seungcheol's grip, a mixture of fear and something dangerously close to desire swirling within him. "You're hurting me," he whispered, breathless.

Seungcheol's expression softened for a fleeting moment, but the darkness never left his eyes. "I'm keeping you safe," he replied, the possessive tone returning. "You're my everything, Jeonghan. I'll do anything to protect what's mine." He leaned in closer, his lips brushing against Jeonghan's ear. "And if anyone threatens that, I will destroy them."

Jeonghan shivered, the weight of Seungcheol's words crashing over him like a tidal wave. There was no escape, no light in this dark world where love twisted into something horrific. He was ensnared, caught in a web of obsession that tightened with every heartbeat.

But even as fear consumed him, a flicker of rebellion remained, a spark that refused to be extinguished. Deep within, Jeonghan vowed that one day, he would find a way to break free from Seungcheol's suffocating grip, even if it meant sacrificing everything.
