Just a Game

"Good morning, Philippines" isang malakas na boses ang narinig ko mula sa labas ng bahay namin. Boses babae ay hindi lalaki nah, boses bakla.

Wait, what?

I rushed to come inside our house and can't wait to know what is happening. There's a gay? Inside our house?

"Mommy," Jamiah greeted when I opened the door. Pero hindi sa akin. She asks for a hug from a gay man in front of her. Did I heard that right? She just called the gay, mommy? Isn't this the gay man who treated Kuya Wy?

"Oh Kuya! Nandiyan ka na pala," Sav greeted me. If Sav hadn't greeted me, no one would have noticed me coming home.

Kailan mo balak ipakilala sa amin yan?" my brother asked one question after another without intending to let me go.

P-tangina! Hindi naman masakit.

I squirmed at the tightness of his embrace. I feel like I'm going to die there.

"Ulol! Wala akong babae,"

"Balak mo ba ako patayin?" I interrogate while holding my neck.

Kuya Zachary approached the gay man and grabbed his waist.

"Molli, meet Gray, my younger brother. Gray, meet Mason, my molli" he introduced us to each other.

Moll- what? What does that even mean?

"He's my husband," Kuya said bluntly which made my jaw drop.

T-ngina! Husband? Kinasal na sila? Hindi ako ininvite?

Anyways, I can't believe this. It was impossible for me to even dream of what I was seeing. How? Si Kuya Zach, na halos patayin na yung mga baklang ibina-blind date sa kaniya noon ni mom is now married to a... gay?

"Oa ka dzaiiii! Hindi pa tayo kasal. Masyado kang nagmamadali," he vocalizes with energy. The strength of his voice brought me back to reality from my stupor. I was ready to sulk because they didn't invite me.

"Doon na rin pupunta 'yun," my brother insisted.

Kuya Easton tap my shoulder. "Gulat na gulat ha,"

Jamiah has been teasing me about my picture for a while now, and I am stunned. I didn't know that this naughty girl had taken a picture of me.

"Anak, kailan mo ba balak papuntahin dito si Arden?" my mother asked out of nowhere.

Because we were eating in the dining area today, I just choked on mom's question. The h-ll! She gave me water which I drank. I looked at Dad but he only gave a smile. He seems to tolerate mom even more.

"Ma, don't expect him to come here. That will never happen," I explicate.

"I have not yet thanked him for what he did for you," she insisted.

"You already thank him that day. It should be enough," I rebut.

"Desisyon ka?" pagsabat naman ni Jamiah.

Everyone in the dining area laughs. Really? I can't believe them.

Time flies and it's Monday again. Mom even forced me to give the breakfast she prepared to Arden.
