Bakugo and the boys had managed to sneak into the gala, their connections granting them access to the grand event. They moved quickly through the crowd, trying to blend in with the other guests while searching for Izuku.

However, as they neared the center of the room, where her parents had been speaking with business partners earlier, they realized something was off.

“Where are they?” (Kirishima asked, looking around with confusion.)

“They were here just a minute ago,” (Denki added, scanning the crowd frantically.)

Bakugo's heart began to race, an uneasy feeling creeping in. He marched forward, only to be stopped by one of the staff members who had overheard their conversation.

“Are you looking for someone?” (the man asked politely.)

“Yes, the Yagi family,” (Bakugo responded, barely concealing the urgency in his voice.)

(The staff member nodded.) “I believe they just left a few moments ago. They were picked up by their personal butler.”

(Bakugo’s chest tightened, frustration welling up inside him. )“Damn it, we’re too late.”

(Todoroki placed a hand on Bakugo’s shoulder, trying to keep him calm): “We’ll find another way to reach her. They’re not leaving the country again.”

“But they’re gone now,” (Bakugo muttered)

He was staring at the entrance where Izuku and her parents had exited just moments earlier. He clenched his fists, feeling the weight of the situation sink in. He had missed another chance to speak to her, to try to make things right.

The boys exchanged glances, each of them understanding Bakugo’s frustration. They had come so close, yet Izuku had slipped away once again, leaving them with only more questions and the lingering pain of unfinished business.

“We’ll figure it out, man,” (Kirishima said reassuringly, though even he looked concerned.)

Bakugo said nothing, his jaw clenched as he stared at the now-empty doorway, determined not to give up.

Later.......

The boys decided they needed to clear their minds. The weight of their recent encounters with Izuku was heavy on them, especially for Bakugo.

They headed out to the mall, hoping that a change of scenery and some fresh air might help them figure out what to do next.

As they walked through the mall, the usual chatter between them was muted. The reality of how much they'd hurt Izuku hung over them, especially Bakugo, who couldn’t shake the memory of her scars. His guilt was evident, but none of them knew how to fix things.

They eventually found a Starbucks and ordered coffee, sitting around a large table in the corner. The atmosphere was a mix of frustration and regret as they sipped their drinks in silence.

(Kirishima broke the quiet first.): “We’ve got to find a way to make it right. We can’t just let things end like this with Izuku. She deserves more than what we gave her.”

(Todoroki nodded, his expression thoughtful): “We’ve all made mistakes. But we need to think carefully about how to approach her. She’s hurt. She might not be ready to forgive us just yet.”
