Chapter 8: It's Time To Split

Months later.

The camp fences can be seen full of arow, showing that the group was fighting before.

The group regroup, discussing what to do next except Clem and Duck.

"We can't stay here forever... We need to move somewhere else." Zack said with a serious face.

Zack has recovered pretty fast; even his shoulder was almost destroyed by the shotgun bullet.

"Are you sure, Kid?" Kenny asks. "The bandit didn't attack us for a month now. I think they left."

Zack snorted, "Yeah, left." He said sarcastically, "Do you notice something is wrong?" The others shook their heads in denial, except Lee and Lilly. Our food supply is gone little by little, and I know who did it." Zack looked at two teenage boys.

The other followed Zack's gaze as they saw Ben and Travis.

"Wait, you can't blame us. You have no proof!" Travis said in a panic.

Zack pulled something from his jacket and trow at the teenager. "Recognise that?" 

The other can see a flip phone in Travis's hands.

"T-This my phone..." Travis said while looking at Zack.

"Yes, and do you know where I found it?" Zack asks again, still serious, as the teenager is silent.

"Where did you find it, Zack?" Lee asks.

"Outside, where the trash bin is, and I found this." Zack throws a paper bag full of food in it, and the other is shocked. "Now, explain why you two do it?"

The other looks mad at the teenager because of being betrayed.

The teenagers remained silent as Zack had enough. The brown-haired boy with a white hair strip pulled his gun out and aimed at them.

"Talk or die," Zack said with seriousness, and the teenager panicked.

"Hey, Zack, they no need that," Lee said while holding Zack's gun.

"Move out of the way, Lee, or you die too," Zack said, shocking the others. "If you think scared? I am not afraid of anything! The reason I'm here is because of Clem; the reason I'm friendly is because of her. So talk now or die!"

"Okay! We talk!" Ben shouted in fear.

"We were scared, okay? We thought when we gave them the food, they would stop attacking us," Travis answered in fear.

Zack snorted, "That's quite easy, doesn't it, Lee?"

The other confuses.

"Yeah, they take the bait pretty fast." Lee chuckle.

"You plan on all of this?" Lilly asked as Lee nodded.

"Yes, with the proof we have, all we need is bait the guilty one," Lee smiles because Zack's plans work.

"You baiting us out?" Ben asks in shock.

"Yes," Zack replied while looking at them with a glare. He sighed and sat down. "Me and Clem are going to leave this place tomorrow."

That shocked the others again.

"You can't be serious, Zack?!" Kenny asks in shock.

"Yes, I am; I have been thinking about going forward for months. Explore this new world, finding a much safer place for Clem." Zack replies with a serious face.

"Then let me join you," Lee said with a smile.

"Mee, too," Kenny said after. "I want to get my boat. I hope you can join us."
