"moved on"

reece could feel the adrenaline through his body as he came into the office he heard marjorie on the phone.

"alright darling ill see you later." she said as she put the phone down.

reece felt his blood boil. has she moved on already?
as he walked in marjorie greeted him hello.

"marjorie please can we forget everything that happened? i love you i really do."

she interrupted him before he could say anything further.

"reece I've moved on already. please leave." she said coldly as she watched him walk out. truth was she hadn't moved on. she loved him dearly. that phone call was fake. she couldn't move on but her parents would never approve of them being together. the van gould's and the knight family were enemies in the business side. the knights always managed to be number one in business. it infuriated the van Gould family.

as autumn walked in she saw majorie crying.

"what happened?" she said as she walked in

"your brother wants me to get back with him but i can't my family will kill me!" she choked out through sobs.

"im sorry to hear that majorie. things will work out just give it some time." autumn said softly.

after what felt like forever the tears died down and turned into small sniffles.

"thanks autumn. do you think i should get back together with him and just have no contact with my family?"

"do whatever makes you feel happy but if your family isn't letting you date a man you love because of our family being enemies then i think that's a sign."

"okay thanks autumn. ill go speak to him after work." marjorie said through sniffles.

as she got in her car after her shift she took a deep breath before driving towards reeces house. she knew she loved him and he loved her aswell she didn't know why she was so nervous but she had an bad feeling something was wrong.

as she got to the door she felt an cold shiver run down her spine.

"reece?? are you home can we talk?" marjorie said while knocking on the door. she decided to go in through the back door as he usually kept that one unlocked.

as she walked in the house she looked around and saw that the house was a mess. she knew something was wrong as reece was a clean freak and would not let plates be in the sink without being washed and leave drinks out on the table.

as she ran into reeces bedroom she saw reece lying on the bed with an empty bottle of straight whiskey in his hand and two more next to him which were about empty aswell.

she rushed to feel a pulse and to her relief she felt one.

"reece everything's going to be okay alright?" she said as she called the ambulance.

as the sirens came down the street autumn looked through the living room window. her and reece lived down the street from each other so autumn was a bit skeptical about her brothers well-being.
