Noise, disturbance and attention everywhere I went was was exactly what I have been getting since the new girl Adayah claimed to be my friend earlier.

I tried ignoring her and minding my business hopping it will get her off my back, but it didn't. Instead that made her more competitive as she kept telling me one story or the other about her former school in America.

Even when I tried waving her off by putting on my airpods, she just ignored me taking one of them to listen to songs with me.

I mean what was her problem, I was showing her signs that I wasn't interested in her friendship offer but instead she was still following me around with every new story coming up with ever step we took.

Throughout today, she has been completely joined to my hip.

Haba! Is friendship by force?

I didn't need a friend or anyone, I just wanted my peace and quiet but that seemed far fetched as even now during closing she's still by my side to the parking  lot.

A lot of students were throwing stares at us when ever we walked past them. On getting close to the parking lot, I diverted moving towards the school gate, she seemed to have noticed it cause she stopped.

"Tola." She called running to catch up with me.

I kissed my teeth, annoyed at her clingy behavior. " What?" I asked.

And yes, Adayah actually turned me into a talkative today because I've been trying to shut her up since morning. And heaven knows that the only reason I haven't snapped at her yet was because she stood up for me.

It was my first.

At first it felt strange but then again it felt good,  having someone behind has your back.

She dropped her hands on her blazer's pocket." Where are you going?" I heard her ask with surprise on her tone.

"Isn't it obvious, home." I answered but she still looked confused.

What manner of person is this one, abeg.

"I know, what I meant is why are you heading to the gate and not there." She gestured at the parking lot with her hand.

"Am taking an Uber." I informed her and she made an 'o' shape with her mouth.

"Then why don't you follow me." She offered looking all gigglingly with her hands together.

"And risk you know the location of my house, hell no!" I deadpanned and her smile died.

She took my one of my hands in hers." Oh, come on, it's going to be fun." She pouted her lips." We could go for some ice cream before stopping at yours."

I stared at her, cringed at her offer."This is exactly why I don't want to follow you." I removed my hands from hers.

Imagine what I had to go through throughout today and she expects me to go through it again inside her car.
