"This is so sad." JaNa said as everyone hugged at the end of security. The finale had just aired and they were headed back home. "We'll see each other in 5 days NaNa." Maia laughed. "It's a very quick turn around." Miguel laughed. "Exactly. By the time you land you'll only have enough time to unpack and pack before I'm picking you up from the airport." She told them as they broke the hug.
"Now we all have planes to catch. And I do not want to miss mine." Kenny said wrapping an arm around JaNa's shoulder. They all waved before the guys walked the girls to their gates. "5 days mama." Miguel hugged. "Only 5." She nodded. "It's going to be so weird not seeing you 24/7." He told her, wrapping his arms around her shoulders. "It'll be an adjustment for sure." She nodded, doing her best to stay strong. "You don't have be strong for us." Miguel said seeing the tears in her eyes.
"I know," she whispered, voice failing her. "But I don't know life without you in it anymore." He pulled her in closer. "I know mama. It's going to be okay though. 5 days, and we'll facetime as much as we can." He reminded her.
Group A is now boarding
Maia hugged Miguel tighter before kissing him. "5 days."
The entire 32 hour flight Maia caught up on everything that happened in her world while she was gone. The Mclaren hub catching fire the weekend she left,-- ironic– she thought, Alex going public- she was happy for her and Charles and sent her text immediately, Lando's first pole since Sochi in 21, The entire Austrian GP weekend made her go the bar on the plane, she knew max and lando were fine now, but she knew she would still have recovery to do between them. The full british podium at Silverstone and Lewis winning?!-- She cried in anger over the Hungarian GP weekend, everything about that weekend was shit, she was aslo so sad she missed Oscars maiden win. Was this the BS that happened when she wasn't around?
But that wasn't all. Love Island drama wasn't just in the villa. Kendall got into some drama, but Maia wanted to wait for him to come to the group before making her mind up on things.
After responding to emails from work, from brands wanting to collaborate, and interview requests, she hesitantly went over to her instagram and tiktok. She saw the floods of support fill her post, and everything she was tagged. She wasn't sure what she expected, but it wasn't that.
She slept the rest of the way to Paris, knowing she wouldn't get much before the weekend. She landed in Paris then got on a helicopter to Monte-Carlo. She felt so happy seeing her home again.
