Scene 1 - Night at Suthida's House
The wall clock reads 3 a.m. The house is engulfed in silence and darkness, except for the faint light entering through the living room window.
Naya is sleeping in Suthida's bedroom. Suthida lies on the sofa, hugging a pillow, trying to sleep, but she appears uncomfortable with her thoughts. She tosses and turns until, in the middle of the silence, a distant sound catches her attention. She stops moving and listens carefully. Suthida hears faint, distressed moans coming from the room where Naya is sleeping. She sits up on the sofa, concerned, and tries to listen more closely. The sound becomes clearer, mingled with disjointed words.
Naya (softly, in her nightmare): "No... please... stop..."Scene 2 - Naya's Nightmare
Naya's dream: a dark, blurred vision, as if she's trapped in a distorted and painful memory.
Naya is sitting at the table with her husband and family. Her husband speaks to her harshly, humiliating her in front of everyone.
Thanom: "You never do anything right, Naya. Everything you touch, you ruin. Just look at the dinner you prepared, it's a disgrace."
Naya's parents, seated at the table, exchange glances but do not intervene. Naya looks at them, pleading with her eyes.
Naya (in the dream): "Mother, Father... please, help me."
Her mother lowers her eyes, while her father mumbles something incomprehensible, avoiding confrontation. Naya's heart feels as if it's breaking again. Her face is filled with pain and frustration.
A sudden cut to a scene at home: Naya's husband strikes her. She cowers as tears run down her face, and the sound of blows echoes through the room. The colors of the dream become more saturated and oppressive.
Thanom (in a threatening tone): "You're worthless, Naya. Who else would want someone like you?"
Naya tries to protect herself, but her pleas mix with her sobs.Scene 3 - Suthida Intervenes
Back to reality.
Suthida can no longer bear the distressing sounds coming from the bedroom. She quickly gets up and heads to Naya's room. The door is slightly ajar, and Suthida gently pushes it open.
Naya lies there, restless, mumbling confused and desperate words as tears run down her face, even in sleep. Suthida approaches the bed, feeling a pang of sorrow in her chest as she sees her like this.
Suthida (whispering): "Naya... Naya, it's okay. Wake up..."
Gently, Suthida places one hand on Naya's shoulder and the other on her face.Scene 4 - The Kiss in the Dream
Back to the nightmare.
Naya is running down a dark corridor, trying to escape from her husband, who is chasing her. Just as she is about to be caught, a soft hand grabs her. She turns and sees Suthida, bathed in a gentle, serene, protective light.
Suthida (in the dream): "I'm here, Naya. You're not alone."
Suthida's hand holds Naya's, creating a sense of relief. In the dream, Suthida slowly moves closer, with a compassionate and tender expression, placing her hand gently on Naya's face. They are so close, their lips almost touching... the kiss is about to happen.
Suddenly, the dream world collapses, and Naya wakes with a jolt.Scene 5 - Awakening
Naya awakens, breathing heavily, sweating, her eyes wide with shock. She sees Suthida sitting beside her on the bed, with her hand on her face, her expression filled with concern.
Suthida: "It's all right... It was just a nightmare. I'm here, Naya. You're not alone."
Hearing Suthida say the same words from her dream, Naya can't hold back her tears and collapses, throwing herself into Suthida's arms. She clings to her tightly, as if trying to keep from falling into an abyss of pain. Suthida holds her tenderly, pressing her close, gently stroking her hair.
Naya (crying, muffled voice): "It was horrible... he was... he was hurting me again... and my family... they did nothing..."
Suthida remains silent for a moment, just holding Naya, allowing her to release all the accumulated pain. After a few minutes, Naya begins to calm down.Scene 6 - The Conversation
Naya, her eyes still filled with tears, looks at Suthida hesitantly. She wants to talk about the dream but stops, remembering the moment she almost kissed Suthida.
Naya (hesitant): "I... I dreamed about you. In the end... you were there. You helped me. And..."
She stops, averting her gaze.
Suthida (gently): "I'll always be here for you, Naya. Whatever you need."
Naya feels a mix of relief and confusion, still shaken by the dream and by Suthida's closeness.
Naya (softly): "Could you stay... here, with me? I... I don't want to be alone."
Suthida hesitates for a moment. Her feelings for Naya are growing, but she doesn't want to take advantage of her friend's vulnerability. She takes a deep breath, trying to quiet her own inner confusion, and smiles gently.
Suthida: "Of course. I'll stay."
She lies down beside Naya, keeping a respectful distance, yet close enough for Naya to feel her comforting presence.
