SCENE 1 – At the Hospital
(Interior, hospital, recovery room. The soft morning light following the nightmare filters through the window, illuminating the space. Suthida is lying in bed with her eyes closed, still in a state of confusion. Naya is beside her, on a call with the school administration.)
Naya:
(With a firm yet gentle voice)
"Good morning, Principal. I'm calling to inform you that due to Suthida's situation, we won't be able to work this week. She's in the hospital, and once we're back, we'll provide the necessary documentation for our absence."
(She listens to the principal's response, nodding, visibly relieved by their understanding.)
Naya:
(Ending the call)
"Thank you for your understanding."
(Naya hangs up the phone and turns her attention back to Suthida, who begins to wake, her eyes still heavy and confused. Suthida frowns and tries to sit up, but she becomes agitated.)
Suthida:
(Panicking)
"No... Naya..."
(Suthida's eyes quickly scan the room, scared, as if she's still in the basement where she suffered violence. Her heart races, and her breathing becomes shallow.)
Naya:
(Whispering calmly, moving closer)
"Shhh, love, calm down. You're in the hospital. It's over... he's been arrested. He can't hurt you anymore."
(Suthida hesitates, Naya's words slowly sinking in, helping to calm her. The tension in her body eases gradually as she starts to grasp the reality around her. Hesitantly, she grips Naya's hand tightly, as if seeking safety.)
Suthida:
(Voice choked, still recovering from the shock)
"I thought... I was still..."
(Naya feels her heart tighten at hearing this. It's the first time she's seen Suthida so fragile. Tears start to slip down Suthida's face, and Naya, her heart breaking, leans in closer.)
Naya:
(Looking at her with concern, her heart aching)
"Suthida..."
(Suthida, silent, lets the tears fall freely. The weight of the pain she's carried, along with the empathy for the suffering Naya endured during her marriage, overflows now. Naya, moved, gently tries to wipe away Suthida's tears with her thumbs.)
Suthida:
(Crying)
"Naya... I know what you went through... I... I felt what he did to you. How did you endure it for so many years?"
(Suthida's voice trembles as she mentions Naya's ex-husband, the pain reflecting the depth of understanding they now share.)
Naya:
(Looking into Suthida's eyes, with sincerity)
"What I suffered doesn't matter now, love. What's important is that you recover..."
Naya:
(Letting the tears fall)
"I'm sorry... you shouldn't have gone through this... I'm so sorry..."
(Suthida, still holding Naya's hand tightly, looks at her with intensity, compassion shining through.)
Suthida:
(Reassuring her)
"Naya, you don't have to apologize. You were a victim. And I'm here for you. I promise you'll never feel pain or sadness again. I want you to be well... I want you always."
(Naya, touched by Suthida's words, feels a mix of relief and gratitude. The connection between them deepens, and the world around them seems to fade away, leaving just the two of them at the center of the scene.)
Naya:
(A slight smile through her tears, her eyes shining)
"You mean everything to me, Suthida."
(They lean in and kiss softly, the gesture symbolizing the strength of their bond, even amidst the pain. The kiss is filled with love and understanding, a moment of promises and hopes for the future.)
(The scene ends with both of them embracing, surrounded by a comforting silence, where the pain of the past meets the hope of what's to come.)SCENE 2 – Important Visitors
(Interior, hospital, daytime. Suthida is sitting in bed, still recovering, while Naya is by her side. The atmosphere is calm and quiet, broken by the sound of footsteps in the hallway. The door opens, and Pravit, the lawyer, enters with a slight smile and a friendly expression.)
Pravit
(smiling)
"Hello. I was going to call, but since I was nearby, I decided to drop by and see how you're doing. It'll be a quick visit."
Naya
(surprised)
"Pravit! Thank you for coming."
(Pravit approaches and greets them with a nod before pulling up a chair and sitting next to Suthida's bed.)
Pravit
"How are you, Suthida?"
Suthida
(with a tired smile)
"Getting better... thank you for coming."
(Pravit rests his briefcase on his lap, his tone becoming more serious.)
Pravit
"I came to bring news about Thanom's case. The investigation went further than we expected. Besides the crimes he committed against you, they uncovered a money-laundering network he was involved in. A large-scale operation has been dismantled. He'll be in prison for a long time, a very long time."
(Naya frowns, concerned about the magnitude of the situation.)
Naya
(worried)
"Don't tell me... That's... but he has a lot of influence. What if he manages to escape from prison?"
(Pravit, maintaining his firm posture, responds confidently.)
Pravit
(smiling)
"I understand your concern, Naya. But trust me, my influence is stronger than his. He won't escape this time. Besides, there's a possibility we could secure some of his properties for you."
(Naya looks at him, surprised and incredulous.)
Naya
"For me? But... how?"
Pravit
(patiently)
"It's a complicated legal process, but I saw an opportunity. Once everything is resolved, you could live comfortably. It could even open doors for future investments if you're interested."
(Naya looks at Suthida, touched by the news, and both seem relieved by the security Pravit offers them. Naya gestures her thanks.)
Naya
(emotionally)
"I don't know how to thank you, Pravit..."
Pravit
(firm yet gentle)
"You've both been through so much. What matters now is that he can no longer harm you."
(Pravit stands, bidding them farewell with a smile before leaving. Naya and Suthida smile, watching him leave as the calm atmosphere returns, now with a sense of relief.)
