One of my very short stories from two years ago- this is crap
"Today is the DAY!!", I yelled. The circus is this afternoon and my parents allowed me and my brother Cody to go. I became so excited that I could not wait. I hope that the circus will be exciting! Little did I know that there will be an exciting adventure waiting for me.
When my brother and parents got ready, I joyfully hopped into the car and my brother and I started blabbering about the things we will watch at the circus. "Wouldn't it be cool to see a tightrope walker?", I said. "What about the jugglers or those people with long legs?" Cody suggested. "It would be cool to see a lion or an elephant. Right?" he said. "Definitely", I said.
As the car was parking into the parking lot, I saw many people rushing inside to get the best seats. "Hurry! Hurry!" I said. "I want really good seats so that we can see the show clearly.". "Now, calm down Ashley." my dad said. We quickly got out of the car and we dashed to the ticket booth. I could only feel relief until we got inside.
In the crowd, I could not recognize my parents or Cody. Suddenly, someone touched me gently on the shoulder. I whirled around to see my brother grinning. I asked " Why are you smiling? Don't you realize that we are lost?". I was shocked to see that he is the calm person instead of me. I feel like scolding him. " I know that mom and dad are gone but can we please get some ice cream before going back in? I want it because it is so hot outside." Cody asked. "Fine, but only if you quit your whining.", I said.
After we got ice cream, we started walking towards the circus when a police officer came to us and said ,"Are you kids Ashley and Cody?" "Yes" we say in unison. "Good. Can you guys come with me? Your parents are looking for you." he says. I started to panic. What if this person is trying to kidnap us? What if we will never see our parents again?
But sure enough, I saw my mom and dad with my own two eyes. They were near a tent called "Lost and Found".I ran across the field and they wrapped me up in a hug. I felt safe.
When we got home, I still had the memory of having fun eating ice cream with my brother. The feeling of panic turning into safety made me feel so relieved. I hope that we will never be separated from our parents again. What a day!
