13:45. January. Monday. 2021 Sangdet.
Sangdet sat as usual in her office. She was wearing an elegant but simple gray dress that resembled a long shirt. It went well with her brown eyes. Sometimes she had the impression that she lived here. For several weeks now, strange thoughts have prevented me from focusing on everyday life. She looked at the computer screen, but saw nothing. She hasn't thought about where her life is leading for a long time. She thought that she had no right to a private life, that this hotel, this company was her trap. Thousands of good people were in her place, but not her:
- Why do I live like this? Why can't I choose my own path? Why can't I be happy? - she quietly asked herself, but did not know the answer.
Sangdet closed her eyes and rested her head on the desk. She so wanted to escape from this world. She wanted to find her dream. even a small house in a remote province looked much more attractive to her than all this luxury around.
Sangdet still remembered that once she could dream, once she tried to fight her father, but her mother was always on his side. Therefore, relations in their family were more work than family. She no longer listened to music, read books or even watched TV, because it provoked the development of dreams. And she was forbidden to dream.
Sangdet raised her head a little and looked at the computer screen. Tables, graphs, lists flashed there. Papers, plans, folders with reports for the past year were scattered on the table. Shelves in the office were lined with awards, gifts from influential clients and investors. All this was supposed to show her importance: her success in career and life. But she felt only emptiness and anger. It was all useless, empty and empty. It was so foreign and violent that it disgusted her.
Sangdet looked at the table. There was a photo of them with their father. They were smiling while standing against the background of one of the Golden Lotus Resorts hotels . I think she was 5 years old then. But she remembered that day well. The photo was supposed to remind of their family business and a happy family, but it was an incredible lie.
There was a knock on the office and the secretary's soft voice announced that it was lunch time. Gathering all her will and strength, Sangdet raised her head and smiled at the lovely lady and said:
- Thanks Jim, I'm on my way down.
Jim was a secretary at this network even before Sangdet went to school. She wore a stylish black suit with a blouse and skirt, which, despite her age, emphasized her slender and graceful figure. She was always attentive and kind to Sangdet, although she knew the pain and emptiness that lived in her soul. She never asked unnecessary questions. And she often helped.
The restaurant at the hotel was modern and cozy. It had two halls: one for hotel guests and the other for outside customers. The halls are separated by a glass partition, which creates a feeling of space and light. Decorated in light colors with wooden furniture and plants. Candles and vases of flowers were placed on the tables.
In the very center, near the glass gate, there was an elegantly covered table. She sat down on the chair opposite her father and smiled even more. All she wanted was to finish this lunch as quickly as possible and get back to work.
Her father, as usual, looked at her with a stern displeased look. His exquisite suit and watch for several million baht still sparkled with pathos. It was his style. This was his world.
- Sangdet, I have something important to tell you. - he said in a suspiciously kind tone.
- What is it, father? - she asked without looking at him.
