Azrael and Seraphine stood together at the edge of a bustling city, gazing down at the streets filled with life.
The mortal world was unlike anything they had ever known — vibrant, fast-paced, and filled with wonders.
The Celestial and Abyssal beings had always looked at Earth as just another realm, but now, it was their home.
Adjusting to human life was not without its challenges.
Azrael’s dark, imposing presence had to be toned down with more relaxed clothing. He traded his usual gleaming armor for casual jeans and a buttoned-up shirt, though the intensity of his molten amber eyes still drew attention.
Seraphine, with her ethereal beauty, struggled to blend in at first, but soon, she adopted long, flowing dresses that carried the elegance of her celestial roots while fitting into the mortal world.
They enjoyed exploring together, strolling through parks, visiting museums, and watching humans go about their daily lives.
Azrael found their mundane routines fascinating, while Seraphine delighted in small things, like tasting Earthly food for the first time or watching a sunset from a human's perspective.
One day, as they walked hand in hand along a quiet beach, the sky painted in hues of orange and pink, Azrael came to a sudden halt. Seraphine looked at him with a soft smile, her silver eyes catching the fading light.
“What is it?” she asked.
Azrael turned to her, taking both her hands in his. “This...this is how humans do it.” His voice was deep, but there was a rare tenderness in his gaze. He knelt on one knee, pulling out a small silver ring he had crafted himself. It was simple but beautiful, like her.
Seraphine’s heart skipped a beat as she realized what he was doing. “Azrael…” she whispered, her voice filled with warmth.
“Seraphine, I bless the day I found you. You accepted me for who I was, loved me, saved me, and redeemed me.” he said, his voice steady, “I love you, Seraphine. And if we are to live in this world, I want to do it right. Will you marry me?”
She laughed softly, her eyes shimmering with emotion. “Yes, Azrael. I will marry you. I’ve wanted nothing more than to be with you, in every way, in any world.”
Azrael rose to his feet, slipping the ring onto her finger. He kissed her gently, his lips brushing against hers with a reverence that spoke of the eternity they would share.
A week later, they held a small, private ceremony in a secluded garden.
It was simple, with no grand celestial or abyssal traditions — just the two of them exchanging vows under the shade of ancient trees.
Azrael wore a dark suit, his hair pulled back, while Seraphine’s gown flowed like silver moonlight around her. There were no witnesses but the stars above them, twinkling in quiet approval.
As the night settled in, they returned to their new home, a small, cozy house on the outskirts of the city.
Inside, candles flickered warmly, casting soft light on the walls.
Seraphine stood by the window, looking out at the night sky. Azrael approached her from behind, wrapping his arms around her waist. “Are you happy?” he asked softly.
She leaned back into him, her heart full. “More than I ever thought possible.”
Azrael turned her around gently, his amber eyes locking with hers. “Tonight is about us, Seraphine. Just us.” His voice was deep and intimate.
He kissed her slowly at first, their lips moving in perfect harmony. Seraphine responded, her fingers threading through his dark hair as they deepened the kiss.
Azrael’s hands moved to her back, pulling her closer to him as their embrace grew more passionate.
It was a kiss full of love, a love that had been tested across realms, through battles and trials, and now had finally found peace.
Seraphine pulled away briefly, her cheeks flushed, but there was a mischievous glint in her eyes. “Azrael, you’ve always been so serious,” she teased softly, resting her forehead against his. “Maybe it’s time you let go, just for tonight.”
Azrael chuckled softly, his molten eyes flickering with warmth. “Only for you.”
They exchanged promises to each other, whispers of eternal love, spoken so quietly that only they could hear. Seraphine felt the warmth of Azrael’s touch as he lifted her gently, carrying her to their room.
They moved to the inner room, lying close to each other, their fingers tracing gentle patterns on each other’s skin.
The night was filled with soft laughter, loving touches, and the deep connection that only two souls like theirs could share.
Though their passion was undeniable, their love transcended the physical. It was the kind of love that could withstand realms, battles, and even the end of time.
The intimacy between them deepened, but it wasn’t rushed — it was tender, full of whispered words and soft touches that spoke of the depth of their connection.
They shared quiet laughter, teasing each other with playful remarks but always returning to the sincerity of their love.
They let their love for each other unfold slowly, savoring each moment, each touch, until the night drew them deeper into each other’s arms.
As the candlelight flickered in the background, they held each other close, finding solace in the warmth of their embrace.
And as the night carried on, they knew they had found their peace in this new world.
"Darling, what do you think about children?" Azrael asked, shifting to face Seraphine.
"They're so pure, innocent, and sweet. I love children," Seraphine smiled. "Why do you ask?" She asked.
Azrael flashed a mischievous grin, "How about we make ours?"
Seraphine stunned and wide-eyed, "Quit teasing me, Azrael." She laughed, but then she looked into his eyes.
The playfulness was gone. He was now serious. "Oh," Seraphine murmured, "you're serious about it." She blinked.
"Hell yeah, I'm serious." Azrael yanked the covers and buried them both underneath.
Laughters erupt from both of them. They were made for each other, and they knew it. And they knew that no matter where they went or what came next, they would face it together.
