~*~One Week Later~*~

Jaenelle's POV

I dressed in a simple dark blue dress that reached just below my knees. I pulled on a cardigan instead of my classic leather jacket. To match my dress I had flat shoes in the same colour just in case there was a lot of walking. I could walk easily in heels but it depended on the terrain.

I let my black hair fall down in it's natural curls, as well as putting basic make up on that looked natural.

Grabbing my hand bag, I made my way downstairs to see Stefan and Damon in the living room.

"Why are you all dressed up?" Damon questioned as I entered the room.

"I have a date," I stated not allowing my grin that wanted to be shown out. I would look like a foul if I grinned over this, I was five hundred years old and I was excited over a date.

"Who with me might know him?" Stefan asked looking up from the book he had priorly been reading.

"Jeremy something I never caught his last name, his date to the ball last week was Avery something," I shrugged.

I wasn't a very good date I hardly knew anything about him, generally you get to know each other before deciding to have a date. This was a different occasion, he was so adorable.

"Jeremy Gilbert," They said together shock laced in their words.

"Probably why?" I questioned unsure why they were shocked with who I had a date with.

"He's Elena's -My Girlfriends- Brother," Stefan stated as if he disaproved with my choice in guys. I hardly knew Stefan, he could hardly be judgemental over my choices in anything.

"So? Your acting as if he was your brother," I stated rather harshly.

"Don't hurt him Jaenelle, it would destroy Elena," Stefan frowned, which was a normal occurance.

"I won't Stef, he seems like such a nice guy, why would I hurt him?" I said with anger in my voice. How could they lecture me with who I was going to be with? They didn't know what I was like how would they know if I would hurt him? Which I wouldn't.

The doorbell rung and I caught my breath; I was slightly nervous about this evening.

"You going to get it Jaenelle?" Damon chuckled.

I realised I had been stood there for a moment or two un-able to move. Damon's words knocked me out of my trance. I flattened out my skirt and walked towards the door. As I reached it I took another deep breath before grabbing hold of the handle and opening the door.

On the opposite side of the door Jeremy stood holding a picnic basket and a small smile stuck on his face. He had casual clothes but he could pull it off to make it seem elegant. I smiled back at him.

"Hello Jaenelle you look beautiful," He smiled at me.

"Hi Jer, You look very handsome," I said softly knowing I would blush from his complement, "Shall we go?" I questioned.

What had happened to me? I was losing my whle hard exterior I had built up over the years because of one guy. We hadn't even had a first date yet and I was already going soppy.

 "Sure," He nodded.

"Bye guys," I shouted into the house although I didn't really need to they would have heard me. The only problem was Jeremy more than likely didn't know about vampires. So if I spoke to Damon and Stefan in a normal volume I would have looked very stupid and it would have opened up a lot of possible questions he could ask. I wasn't willing to tell him now, I needed him to get to know me before I scared him with the supernatural lifestyle I had been thrown into.
