Caroline's POV
Recently Avery has been overly distant and hasn't really spoke to me. It has been three days since it started but I wanted to know what was wrong. She was always talking to someone and going out. She may be shy but she is a social butterfly. Everyone is her friend but something just stopped that. Most evening's she went to Jeremy's to spend time with him or she'd talk to him on the phone. Suddenly that stopped too, I know he had a girlfriend so maybe he was busy but he'd still speak to her.
Surprisingly he phoned me last night. ME. We never really spoke unless I was asking him about Elena or it was a hello or goodbye when I was there or he was here.

My phone rung from the side it was sat on. Reaching over to get it I read the caller ID. Jeremy as in Jeremy Gilbert.
I clicked the green button, putting the phone to my ear.
"Jeremy are you sure you haven't mixed mine and Ave's numbers up?" I chuckled as I answered it.
"No but she is the reason I phoned you," He stated making me querry him.
"Why, don't you always see her so why are you phoning me?" I asked.
"She has been acting odd, she went out for a date with Kol but they had an argument over something. After that I haven't really seen her. She came and told me about it but ever since then I haven't seen her, whereas I would always see her atleast once a day," He stated and I could hear the frown in his voice.
"Wait hold up Gilbert," I exclaimed, "Kol, as in Kol Mikaelson?"
"Yes, Caroline back on topic can you speak to her please, have a girl talk about boys or something. See what's wrong with her please," He practically begged me.
"Okay Jer, I'll try. If she doesn't leave her room by tomorrow I'll speak to her," I stated, "I'll phone you if I find out what's wrong."
"Thank you Caroline," He said softly.
"Your welcome, well I should go my Mum just walked through the door," I chuckled as my Mother entered the house.
"Okay, bye."
"Bye."
~*~ End Flashback ~*~
So it had been exactly a day and I still hadn't seen her. She didn't even leave her room to eat and before that she would eat like a trucker. My Mum was always at work so she rarely noticed anything, so she didn't realise Avery's absence.
I had taken her food yesterday, shouting at her through the door so she would have heard me. Yet she had left it outside her room un-touched.
I walked up to her door moving the plate putting it on the side table on the landing. Stepping closer to the door I could hear he shaky breathing from inside the room. I let my knuckles connect with the wooden door.
"Hey Avery can I come in?" I said slightly louder than average.
I pressed my ear closer to the door to try and hear her response, but she she said nothing.
"Avery I'm coming in," I stated not being bothered in asking her once again.
Pushing the door open I saw a lump in her bed. It rose and fell with her soft and shaky breathing. I walked over to her bed in the middle of her dimly lit room. Her pink curtains were pulled shut blocking any sunlight from entering.
