We are just Best Friends

As they entered the house , they heard some murmurs from one side of the house mentioning their name. They chose to ignore it but then it increased and they heard some aunties say clearly , "Aaj Kal ke ladke ladkiyo ko toh kuch sharam he nahi bachi hai. Saare aam saath ghumte aur kehte hum toh sirf dost Hai ! Kaam toh dosto vaale hai nahi !"
(*Today's generation have no shame left. Just roams around together freely and tags themselves as just friends ! whereas there deeds don't look like friends !)

Hearing this Tanu lost her cool and was about to snap at them , but Sohit holds her hand and calms her down saying NO with expressions. But these aunties had no chill. They continued blaming them and now even Sohit could not control her !
She went to them and said , "Kya kaha aunty aapne ?"
(*what did you say aunty ?)

To which she responded , "Vahi jo tumne suna"
(*I said What you heard)

To which she got angry as already she was on her periods and due to mood swings she got irritated.

Sohit came to the rescue and answered those aunties calmly saying , "Aunty aapko jo samajhna hai aap samjhiye , hume pata hai humara Rishta humare liye kya hai. WE ARE JUST BEST FRIENDS !
Aur chinta mat kijiye agar kuch hua aage Chalke humare beech toh sabse pehle shaadi ka laddoo aapko he milega !"
(*Aunty you think whatever you want to , we know what our relation Is for us. And don't worry if something happens between us in future the first sweet will come to you !)

Tanu smiled and added , "Yes ! And we are not like your son who is seen with a new girl every other day !"

She said this very calmly but in a sarcastic and taunting tone. The aunties Cleary understood the Insult and started to leave fuming in anger.

But Tanu stopped them and said , "We don't let our guests leave without having food so please help yourself."

Saying this she moved towards her room. Sohit understood she was upset by this even if she didn't show. He too followed her to her room and as he correctly thought she was sitting there lost and sobbing.

He went near her and sat down on his knees holding her hands gently in his saying , "Oyeee kya hua re tujhe ? Tu ro rahi ? Seriously ? Aisi baato par ?"
(*Oyeee what happened to you ? You are crying ? On such things?)

To which she lifted her lashes to look at him and replied while sobbing , "Why Why Whyyy it's always us Jagalganth ? Why people misunderstand our friendship ? Let our relation be anything but friendship comes first then why ?"

Sohit understands her turmoil and first calms her down. Once she was sober he continues , Dekh , baat aisi hai ke people will judge it's there work. We know what we are and we don't need to prove it to the world right?"
(*see rhe thing is....)

She nodded her head. To which he smiled and continued , "So no need to worry and be sad for such pety things. Tu rote huye achi nahi lagti. Sherni hai tu meri wese he dahadte huye achi lagti."
(*You don't look good while crying. You are my lioness and you look good being fierce).

She genuinely smiled. This was their relation. Only he could handle her and vice versa after their families. She washed her face and they happily desended downstairs to continue the celebration.

They all enjoyed a lot together while Sohit taking her care as she was having cramps in between. Soon the dinner was served and the guests started enjoying the food.

Soon the party was over and everyone slowly drifted off ! Her friends to left alongwith Sohit. She went to her room and getting changed sat on bed thinking about everything that happened today. She smiled thinking about her day and the surprise given by her friends , her reaction to it , then the rest of the day spent. Also she started revisiting the party and the incidence that took place. She felt happy and contented that she was able to put forward her point and take a stand also Sohit proved their friendship again. Here their friendship won...

She took her mobile and started checking the messages she received and started replying to them. After sometime she was done doing it so she texted Sohit , 'Gunieeeeeeee My BESTIE '🤭

He read the message and a smile formed on his face as he understood what she must be thinking and why she sent that message. He too replied
'Yeah , Sweet dream dear BESTIE' 😴🤭

She smiled and they chatted for sometime. Soon both drifted off to sleep awaiting a new eventful day !
