Chapter 456 - Concubine

The Third Prince Enhejin looked entirely as if he wanted to beat his son to death. Hong Ge'er gritted his teeth and said nothing, while Ulan Tuya hurriedly rushed out to shield her brother. The whole family was putting on quite the show, and Ye Yun couldn't help but feel like giving them an award for their performance.

At this point, Ye Yun understood everything clearly; she knew that the Third Prince must have colluded with Enhejin to come up with this scheme. Enhejin was ambitious and definitely wouldn't want his legitimate daughter to be a concubine, but the Third Prince was proud and certainly wouldn't want to truly marry a legitimate wife from the Zhasake clan either.

However, having such a noble woman as a concubine for the Third Prince meant that in the future, how many young ladies in the capital could possibly suppress a concubine of such high birth? If the Third Prince's legitimate wife wasn't strong enough, there would be no peace in his courtyard.

Thinking about her son and brother's injuries, Ye Yun's eyes turned cold. She decided to fan the flames and let these wild dogs bite each other. She then feigned a sense of urgency and spoke up.

"What are you all standing around for? Hurry and pull the prince away! Be careful not to hurt the heir!"

Immediately, guards stepped forward to separate them. Ye Yun sighed and said softly, "Third Prince Enhejin, why must you get so worked up over this child's matters? The heir is honest; now that he has spoken up, he will not disappoint the princess in the future and is also speaking for his sister. This protective heart is truly touching."

At this point, Ye Yun paused and turned to look at Ning Chen, whose expression wasn't very good.

"However, the Third Prince is still quite young. In our Nan Qi, one must be at least fifteen to marry."

Yi Fei could no longer remain seated and quickly interjected. "Yes, the Third Prince is still young, and the princess isn't very old either. Who knows, she might change her mind in a few days; this marriage agreement cannot be established lightly."

Ye Yun furrowed her brow and nodded. "This matter is indeed tricky. Although the princess has genuine feelings, the prince's marriage agreement involves many considerations and cannot be decided by the Emperor alone."

With this remark, she subtly pointed at Ning Chen.
