CHAPTER 1

woke up with the sun rays that hit my face and there she stood beside the curtain. She always opens my curtains to set aside every morning or sometimes if I don't wake up, she's like my alarm clock. I opened my eyes slowly and went out of my bed to stretch my body then she went out of my room, after that. Then after i do my stretching i do some exercises to maintain my toned body. Yeah i love working out and i love having a muscle and toned body. Suddenly i heard a knock when i was done exercising in my room. I stood up and got a towel to take a bath but suddenly i heard a knock at my door.

"Miss breakfast is ready and your dad is asking for you".The maid said but didn't bother to answer she opened the door and peeked her head from the doorway and it was a new face for a maid, i think she's new.

"Didn't the other tell you that i don't like calling me Miss?" I said while looking directly at her eyes.

"Ahm i'm sorry ma'am". She said.

"Either ma'am. You call me by my name , Alex". I said raising my voice made her startled.

"Y-yyes Alex". She said shuttering.

Out". I yelled and made my way to the bathroom to take a shower. After i showered i immediately went to my walk-in closet to get an outfit. I just wear white polo with two buttons and i just let it be unbuttoned then  pair it with trousers and Dr. Martins shoes then went to the kitchen where my dad is and sat to his left side.

"Your auntie Sandra called earlier and they're going to stay here for a week". My dad said as the maid served me breakfast

"What about it?" I said nonchalantly

" I would like you to behave and be nice to your cousins.". He said looking directly at me as i saw at the corner of my eye .

"Ok". I said as i start eating

" Dear where's your car i haven't seen it in the garage?" It's mom who's now in her office outfit also dad.

"Well my car broke down and it's been 8 days since I sent it to a Car Company". I said as i said without looking at them.

"Do you mean you're taking a cab for a week now?". My  mom questioned.

"Hmm" i said as I took my last bite of my breakfast.

"Ohh dear i'm sorry we didn't know.". My dad said

"It's ok mom I'm used to it". I said as i stood up.

" Btw did you meet the new maid?. Her name was 𝑺𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂". Dad said.

"Yeah". I said as i went upstairs to brush my teeth again and gather my things then went downstairs.

"Do you want us to send you a school?" 𝑫𝒂𝒅 said with my mom beside him as we made our way towards the door.

"I already booked a cab". I said walk outside.

My dad owns a Factory of chocolates and my mom was an Architect so that's why we don't have much time to catch up and it started when my sister was in the  U.S to study. We used to be a complete family filling the living room with laughter and banter and we used to go out for vacation but now?.Everything changed when she flew to U.S to study abroad  and she stayed there to work since she doesn't want to manage dad's  factory  and i became the only child since we were just the two of us. After that i grew up alone without a sister and my parents don't  have spare time to spend with me and i'm always with mommy Fel. Yes i call her mommy even if she's  our maid since my sister  went to Us they hire mommy Fel to take care of me since my parents are busy. Since then I have just become observant and quiet but i have a friend in our neighborhood One girl and 5 boys were just 2 girls in our circle where I have been considered as siblings since we grew up together here at the compound.
