Rise of the Snakes

'Long before time had a name, the First Spinjitzu Master created Ninjago using four elemental weapons. But when he passed, a dark presence sought out to collect them all: Lord Garmadon. So I, Sensei Wu, his brother, sought out to find four ninja to collect them first. I also found one more. Someone to collect the most sacred weapon of them all.'

Aurora woke to the sounds of very loud complaining. She closed her eyes and tried to fall asleep before realising it was no good. Sitting up, she groaned as she stretched all of the aching bones in her body. She did Spinjitzu to change into her light blue ninja gi and collected her daggers before seeing what the noise was about; the voices led her to the game room. She stopped at the door to listen in to the conversation.

"Just because Lord Garmadon escaped through a vortex doesn't mean he won't return one day for the Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu." Sensei's not wrong, to be honest.

"But Sensei Wu, ever since he's been gone, Ninjago has had nothing but peace." 

"Yeah, peace is boring. There's no one to save, there's nothing to do." Jay, sweetie, you find almost everything boring.

"We can train tomorrow." You can also train now idiot.

"Never put off until tomorrow what can be done today." She should probably train now too, so off she went. As much as she loved Sensei's teachings, she couldn't listen to one this morning.

"Hey Nya, what's wrong?" Aurora had passed the black-haired girl running towards her down the hallway.

"Lord Garmadon's returned, he was spotted near Jamanaki Village." Before Nya could continue, Aurora ran out of the monastery towards the dragon shelter. Pulling the lever, she opened the doors that let her access her dragon. She gently manoeuvred around Flame, Shard, Rocky and finally Wisp before reaching Apollo.

"Hey Apollo, ready to go? We need to wait for the boys first though." By the time Aurora had climbed onto Apollo, the stable doors had closed. Just as quickly as they had closed, they opened again. They're here. She watched Zane get hit on the head by one of the doors, oh god they are so out of it. Cole then dropped his scythe whilst trying to get on Rocky and Jay failed to mount Wisp, she looked over at Wu and he had a look of disbelief on his face. Apollo then flew out of the doors, giving the boys more room. The girl and her dragon sat in the air waiting for her teammates to finish. Aurora watched Nya and Kai converse and then the four flew out too. The dragons roar and we start flying to the fight.

"Just like old times, eh, Rocky?"

"You guys believe what Sensei said about unlocking our full potential?" Kai enquired.

"He may be onto something. I mean since we got these golden weapons, it's not like we ever had to use them. I wonder what they do," Jay responded.

"I, for one, look forward to the future. If there is more for us to accomplish, let it be."

"Zane, always the wise one." Zane smiled at Aurora after she said that, and she grinned back. 

 "Don't know about you, but is anyone else a little excited about battling Lord Garmadon? I've been looking forward to trying out some new Spinjitzu moves. Could be the perfect opportunity." Since when did Boulder Boy have new Spinjitzu moves, he never trains.

"Ha-ha! Race you there?"

"Oh, you're on Jay."

The five ninja increased their pace as they sped through the sky towards Jamanaki Village. The boys were so competitive but Aurora wasn't giving up. Soon, Jamanaki Village came into view through the clouds.

"Jamanakai Village. First ninja there wins." They all sped as fast as we could towards the ground, and they all landed at the same time.

"Ha-ha! I was first!"
