Chapter 2: The Invite

Hi. It's been a while since I've seen you. Hope you've been well. The last time you saw me, I was telling my kids about the adventures their father and I went through. It's been nine years since you last saw me. Harry and I were twenty-five since you last saw us and the twins were seven. You remember the twins, don't you? Alexander and Sophia, they're sixteen now. Dearie me, where has the time gone. Harry and I have been ruling Auradon for sixteen years now.

You don't remember me, do you? I can tell.

Maybe I should remind you.

I am Queen Brooklyn Agathe LeGume-Hook, Queen of the United Kingdoms of Auradon, Wife to King Harrison James LeGume-Hook, former pirate, and Mother to the most beautiful twins - Prince Alexander Gaston LeGume-Hook and Princess Sophia Jane LeGume-Hook.

This is Auradon, the kingdom where all your favourite fairy tales are true. It was formed thirty years ago, when King Adam Beast married Belle, at first people did not agree with the proposal, but that all changed when they banished all the villains to the Isle of the Lost, ensuring their own safety. That's where I grew up. If you couldn't tell from my surname, LeGume, I am the daughter of Gaston LeGume, sister of Gil LeGume, Beast and Bella's villain. But he's changed now. When Ben and I became close, our parents became close. Now they've put their differences aside.

I wasn't going to be queen first, that was reserved for Mal since Ben was supposed to be King. But their decision to close the barrier forever, essentially abandoning the children on the Isle, showed them, that they weren't meant for this, instead they bestowed that honour onto me. Since I became Queen, I've made sure that things are a lot fairer now. Unfortunately, they won't be around for this adventure. They, alongside Jay, Gil, Evie and Doug are on their own adventures, forming alliances with distant lands.

You would have noticed there was one name I didn't say. I know you remember him, who could forget him. Carlos De Vil. Unfortunately, he died not too long ago. Jane and Levi's been riddled with grief ever since, I've had them move into our castle so that they know they're not alone. I promised Carlos, that if anything where to happen to him, I would make sure Jane and Levi were okay, Jane's taken over his vet office along with Gil.

Anyway, back to this adventure, let's get into it, shall we.

Fairy Godmother stood in her office, waiting for Uma's arrival.

"Ooh. I've been to the principal's office before, but never like this." Uma said, as she walked in into the office that now belonged to her.

"I made us tea." FG smiled.

"Mmm." Uma hummed.

"Sit, please." FG said, gesturing to the sofa. Uma released a sigh as she leaned back on the sofa, putting her legs up while FG poured the tea. "Oh, it's not an easy job, Uma. But I hope you find it fulfilling."

"I've run a crew of cut-throats since I was sixteen. I think I can handle a few prep school kids. Pirates!" She called out, a group of pirates marched into the office, chattering indistinctly. "You just enjoy retirement."

"I'm not retiring." FG corrected Uma. "I..." She paused when she saw a pirate flag, covering her bookshelf. "Are you sure you want to put that up there?" She asked.

"Arrr!" A pirate yelled, scaring FG.

"I've been chosen as the new president of Auradon University, and to ensure a seamless transition, I have prepared a list, colour-coded by priority." FG smiled.

Uma stood up while FG got the list off her (now Uma's) desk. "My first order of business will be making sure kids from all the kingdoms are welcome to attend AP." She said.
