Maybe that was for the best. It wasn't supposed to matter, right?

"So, there she is," An Yujin announced when Minji finally made it downstairs. "Been waitin' a long time here, Kim. What's up?"

Minji wanted to punch the arrogant woman in the face. She hated Yujin. Stupid An clan's wannabe heiress. Minji had known An Yujin all her life. Both of their fathers were in the "game." There had always been this superficial peace between both families, but underneath... they knew the deal: keep your friends close and your enemies closer. An Yujin had tried to pull a few business ventures from what she thought was an unsuspecting Minji, but that ended with several threatening phone calls. Yujin finally backed off, probably due to her brother, An Jaemin, who still ran their household.

An Jaemin was a gentleman, but Yujin was not. Minji had a lot of respect for Jaemin, but she couldn't stand his sister. Too many times Yujin had tried to woo Minji's women away—and succeeded. And though Minji couldn't be bothered with any of her women or Yujin banging her sloppy seconds, Minji knew that Yujin did that on purpose.

"Nothing to concern yourself with. So, to what do I owe the pleasure, An?" Minji asked, not bothering to hide her dislike. She knew Yujin hated it when anyone called her "An."

"Got some business matters to discuss with you. Mind if we do it over a game of pool, Min?" Yujin smirked, already walking toward the billiards room. She knew Minji hated being called "Min."

"Sure, make yourself at home... bitch," Minji muttered out of earshot, and Jake laughed.

When they entered the billiards room, Yujin immediately picked up Minji's cue stick.

"So, we have a new little investment with a new Korean group. They have a product we want. Only, we don't have the contacts for the runners who could help with this. Word is, you do, Kim. So, if you scratch our backs on this, we'll make sure to give your restaurants multiple deals," Yujin added, getting serious.

Jake and Minji looked at each other. "And what exactly would that product be?" Minji asked, while handing Yujin a pen and paper.

Yujin wrote down a word quickly and then wiped her fingerprint off the pen.

Minji quickly glanced at it and then handed it to Jake, who immediately threw it in the fire.

"That's not something I deal with, nor do I care to. Sorry, can't help you," Minji stated, grabbing a cue.

"Well, maybe you can be a good girl and just give us your contact. You or your restaurants don't have to be involved at all if you don't want to."

"Well, as you know, I don't really like being a 'good girl,'" Minji added, rounding the pool table.

Yujin and Minji both stared at each other for a moment. "Okay. Well, I'll make sure to report that back to my brother. He would be glad to know how you're paying him back for all the help he provided you all those years ago," Yujin said while racking up the balls.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I was under the impression that your brother didn't know—considering he mentioned that he isn't into that type of business either. Maybe I should give him a call to explain myself," Minji said, leaning against the pool table. She knew she had just stuck the knife in and broken it off. Minji was certain that An Jaemin had no idea that his screw-up of a sister was about to start dealing drugs. Jaemin was just as against the stuff as Minji was.

Yujin narrowed her eyes at Minji. "Watch yourself, Kim..."

"No. This is my house. You watch yourself, Yujin," Minji countered as Seokmin stepped a foot closer to Yujin.
