The door remains shut, an empty room is his playground forever. He will never leave this room, trapped forever by overflowing melancholy that he cannot contain or control anymore. He spills and gushes like an overflowing sink, taking out his disgust of himself on his body which he deems rightfully so. Soiling any comfort and conscious thought with guilt and painting that beautiful white canvas known as 'White Space' in a deep, sickening red as he spirals. Nothing can control him, this, now.
Omori sits and watches, he cannot prevent this. He can only sit and observe as his creator, the person he was supposed to protect, spill his passion of hatred into himself; he bleeds to make up for the sins he has commited. He slices his way deep into his soft flesh, gasps and pained moans raggedly ripped from his larynx as he continues to butcher any skin showing.
You could call Omori a failure, but in a sick aspect he has won. His purpose was to protect from the truth, and protect he has. Nobody has found out, nobody has come to find Sunny; the very boy that sits slicing through his flesh and muscle as if it were some sort of cake. He has won, but at what cost? Maybe he has strayed from his original task, but he has done the bare minimum; keep the truth from coming out and destroying them all. Was it ever about Sunny surviving? Maybe not. Right now, it does not matter.
Omori witnesses Sunny stand, dropping his knife as he sways from blood loss due to the deep and intricate carvings weeping; they are cleansing him and his soul. He supports himself, leaning against the wall and sliding himself over toward his desk chair. Omori watched him set this up, and he didn't intervene one bit. After all, it was inevitable.
Sunny hauls himself up onto the chair, vowing to make it up to Mari. He's going to make it up to Hero, to Aubrey, to Kel, his parents and oh god. He's going to make it up to Basil. He's going to do something long awaited. Long due.
He's going to experience what Mari went through when they hung her.
