You came out to the vanity looking at your costume for the cheering dance - it looked pretty. You glanced at your collection of hairbands, but your eyes caught one - the purple band given to you by Jungkook on Friendship Day, which would go perfectly with your outfit. You studied it for a moment before deciding to use it, tying your hair into a high ponytail.

With a final glance at yourself, you grabbed your jacket and headed downstairs, a mix of nerves and excitement bubbling inside you.

You found your mom arranging a vase of vibrant flowers, her fingers delicately adjusting each stem. The scene was warm and familiar, bringing a smile to your face.

Y/n - I'm leaving, Eomma.

Just as you were about to step out the door, she called you back.

Mrs. Kim - Take this with you for Jungkook.

You turned to see her holding out a bottle of banana milk, the kind he always loved. A rush of memories flooded your mind—shared laughs, playful arguments, and the lingering tension from the day before. You hesitated, looking back at her as she smiled encouragingly.

Mrs. Kim - Didn't you say it's your sports day? He might need it today.

You averted your gaze, a mix of irritation and fondness swirling within you.

Y/n - I'm not taking it.

Your mom paused, her smile unwavering as she shook her head in that knowing way you had come to expect.

Mrs. Kim - Don't tell me you fought with him again.

Surprised, you looked at her, wondering how she always seemed to know what was going on between you two.

Y/n - It's not me...

She offered a knowing smile, her eyes twinkling with understanding.

Mrs. Kim - I know you both well. You might fight today and hang out tomorrow. Just don't make a scene out of it. You know you two can't hold onto a fight for long—just take it with you.

You stared at her, disbelief washing over you. The way she spoke so casually about your arguments made it seem so simple. It struck you how she focused on your role in it, not his. Maybe she was right—this wasn't the first time you'd had a disagreement, and somehow, you always found your way back to each other. Sighing, you took the bottle from her hand, feeling a mix of obligation and affection.

Y/n - Fine, I'll take it.

With a final smile at your mom, you headed out the door, feeling the weight of the bottle in your bag.

Shortly, you reached the school, your heart racing at the sight of vibrant decorations that filled the halls, all set for the excitement of the day ahead. Streamers hung from the ceiling, colorful banners adorned the walls, and the energy in the air buzzed with anticipation. A smile crept onto your cheeks as you walked in, the lively atmosphere pulling you in. You scanned the crowd, your eyes searching for a familiar face—specifically, Jungkook's. You tried to shrug off the thought, reminding yourself that you were here to enjoy the day, not dwell on yesterday's argument.

As you looked around, you spotted Mina standing by the entrance, her radiant smile drawing you in. You waved enthusiastically, feeling a spark of happiness.

Mina glanced your way and did a quick scan from top to bottom, her expression shifting to one of admiration.

Mina - You look stunning, dude! I guess someone is ready to steal the spotlight.

You chuckled at her compliment, a flutter of confidence swelling within you.

Y/n - But I don't think I look as good as you—
