Tara looks into the sun and blinks a few times.

"It's pretty nice weather for January, right?" Everytime she smiles she looks just like sunshine on a clear day.

"Yeah, but still too cold for my teammates to play..." Jenna muffels into her scarf, annoyed.

The three of us are roomates and share a dorm at our college. Tara is attending in music class, while Jenna is working on her degree as a sports major.

I laugh and hold the door open to the building the cafeteria is in.

"I'm going to be honest, Jenna, I kinda agree with your teammates on that one."

I am impressed how unbothered she is by the cold, playing outside in shorts and a t-shirt all winter long without showing the slightest sign of freezing, and I can definently relate more to the unwillingness of team.

Right now we have some time off before heading back to our lectures, and we use the time to eat lunch together.

"By the way, what happened to this guy you were talking to?" Taras question catches me off-guard, resulting in a surprised gasp as an answer.

"Tara! Don't be so rude! If they had something to say, they would have said." Jenna turns to me. "But I admit, I am curious too. Is there anything new?"

I blow a strand of hair from my face and roll my eyes. "No... He ghosted my again..."

I've been trying to find a partner for a while now, but somehow I always fail. Everytimes I either get ghosted, or the person is not looking for anything long term, or we just don't vibe together.

I'm starting to believe I'll end up as a lonely cat-lady and die alone in a mountain of knitted socks and scarfs.

Sunken into my thoughts, I suddendly bump into Tara, the fake-fur on the hood of her coat is tickling my nose, making me sneeze.

"Hey... Do you know who this guy is?"

She nods into the direction of the tribune, where a blond boy was sitting, big headphones on his head, reading a book. It seems like he is in another world, unbothered by all the passing students, the talks or the laughter. He just calmly sits there and is minding his own business. The way his hair falls into his face is pretty cute.

Jenna raises an eyebrow and shrugs. "I think I've seen him in the literature club. I assume he is a literature major."

Tara responds something, but I don't really listen.

He has fair, spotless skin, it looks like it was marbeled from quartz and then placed on his head with a gentle expression, yet it's telling you thousand stories just by the look of it. His golden hair falls in soft waves, a kiss from a breeze had styled it into a windswept look. There's a certain innocence in the way he sits calmly there, but something tells me his story goes deeper, holding millions of unspoken dreams.

"Hey, hellooo? You've been staring like a creep, you creep!" Tara jumps into my field of view, her face only a few inches away from mine, waving like crazy infront of my eyes.

"Tara! Stop!" I laugh, stepping a little back. She blocks my view to the boy, so I tilt my head to glance at him again.

Jenna joins next to her. "This time I have to exceptionally agree with Tara, why are you staring at him like that?"

Tara turns to him, bus almost immediately turns back to my and gasps, her eyes sparkling.

"Do you find him cute? Do you think he is cute? Do you like him? Ask for his number!"
