Her Psychotic Laugh

Chapter 3

"Shit, my head is aching."

I am at the nipa hut this early morning. Masyadong napa-aga ang pagdating ko since sumabay na ako kay papa.  But upon reaching this place I suddenly feel the dizziness. It is like my head is spinning around.

Hawak pa rin ang ulo ko ng may nagpunas ng katinko sa akin. I am relieved with that. The person even massaged my head and it was so good that I even closed my eyes. It relieves my pain.

"Better?" Napalayo ako sa nagsalita. 

My eyes are wide looking at the same man from yesterday. He is already wearing the university's uniform. He is so clean and refreshing to look at. I shook my head. Stop, praising the stranger, Divine.

Lumapit siya sa akin ulit. "Masakit pa?"

Umatras ako. "Anong ginagawa mo dito?" Is he a creep of something?

Pinakita niya ang katinko.

"I know but... nevermind. Thank you but don't touch me again. " Ni hindi ko nga kilala siya tapos kung makalapit ay para bang matagal na kaming mag-kakilala. Lumayo ako sa kanya kahit na malayo na talaga siya sa akin.

Nagkasakubong ang kilay niya. He was about to say something when he rudely gave me the Katinko and left me here. He never looked back and I didn't want to.

I was still massaging my forehead when rumors started to circulate in the room. They are talking about someone from another program. They are pertaining to someone who is handsome and intelligent. They said that the person is such a jerk.

Wala na bang bago? Gwapo, matalino pero red flag. Ano siya si Daoming Si?

I laughed kaya naman napatingin sila sa akin. I continue to massage my head like nothing happened. I'm still listening though.

"Neo is such a good kisser."

Halos mahulog ako sa pagkakaupo ko dahil doon. They are just praising the guy physically and now they are talking about the guys... what the hell? Mga kabataan talaga ngayon.

"Linda said that he is such a...." Humina ang sinasabi nila kaya umusog ako ng kaunti. They looked at me again weirdly.

Tangina, bubulong pa kasi.

"May kukunin lang." I pretend to reach something under my chair.

"But, Lovita also said that she is the girlfriend!"

"No, Rosie is the girlfriend." The blond girl insisted.

The other one with long black hair stood up. "No way, he is courting me!"

Iyong lang, red flag pala.

Napahawak na lang ako sa ulo ko dahil mas lalong sumakit iyon dahil sa pakikinig ko sa kanila. They already stopped talking when the Chemistry teacher came. The professor is very calm yet a lowkey terror person.

He asked our president, Jo for the index cards. It is already in college but the index cards are still famous. My heart is racing as fast as it could be since I am guilty to say that I don't understand anything that he lectures. I am manifesting to be not called but the heavens do not guarantee it.

"Mirabel, Divine Grace."

I stood up and said. "I don't know, sir. " The classes laugh and I laugh too. What? I am being honest.

"Who's willing to help?" I know it's embarrassing but it is better than to pretend that I know it. Edi, mas lalong napahiya ako.

I looked at my genius classmate. "Idoool, help me." He smiled and had no choice since siya na ang sinabi ko kay sir.
