"Arisa, hurry up!" Bakugo yells impatiently from the other side of the bathroom door, his voice echoing through the hallway.
"Leave me alone! I'll get out when I'm done!" she retorts, her voice barely audible over the pounding bass of her music, which fills the small space as she meticulously applies her makeup.
"Arisa, you've got two minutes to be out of that bathroom! You're going to make both you and your brother late for your first day back at school!" Mitsuki calls from downstairs, her tone a mix of urgency and exasperation.
Arisa, Bakugo's younger sister, was determined to make a great impression on her first day at UA. She wanted everything to be perfect, from her carefully styled hair to her trendy outfit.
Finally, she flings open the bathroom door, and a cloud of hairspray and perfume wafts into the air, overwhelming Bakugo's senses.
"Fucks sake, Arisa!" he coughs, waving a hand in front of his face to disperse the strong scent.
"I'm out now, aren't I?" she replies defiantly, pulling on her dark green designer jacket with a flourish.
With little time to spare, Bakugo rushes to finish getting ready. Their mother had dropped them off at school, reminding them to behave and leaving them to navigate the day on their own.
"Make sure your sister finds her class, Katsuki!" she had yelled, her voice raised as she backed up traffic.
"Alright! Just go!" he had shouted back.
As Bakugo and Arisa approach the school entrance, they spot Kirishima and Denki chilling nearby.
"Hey, is that Bakugo's sister?" Kirishima asks, his eyes widening in surprise.
"Dude, she's hot!" Denki blurts out, completely oblivious to the potential consequences. Kirishima quickly smacks him on the back of the head, his expression turning serious.
"Are you trying to get murdered?!"Kirishima warns, his voice low as he gestures for Denki to follow him.
With a friendly grin, Kirishima strides over to Bakugo, Denki trailing behind, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.
"Hey bro! Wanna introduce us?" Kirishima asks, flashing a bright smile.
"I'm Arisa..." she says, extending her hand to shake Kirishima's, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves.
Denki, however, is a full shade of crimson. "I - I'm, uh, Kinky Dominari..." he stammers saying his name wrong. His eyes darting away as he tries to regain his composure. Bakugo notices Denki's blush and the way his hands fidget. Not to mention what he just said..irritation now rapidly bubbling up inside him.
Kirishima, sensing the tension, knowing Bakugo would murder Denki, he quickly intervenes. "Alright, idiot, it's time to go." He scoops Denki up effortlessly, tossing him over his shoulder. "We'll see you inside class, dude," he says, carrying Denki away to safety.
Just as Bakugo and Arisa begin to walk into the school, Arisa's gaze catches on Shinso. Time seems to slow as he strides past her, his striking purple hair catching the light and his serious eyes lined with black eyeliner meeting hers for a brief moment. In that instant, she feels an inexplicable pull toward him.!!BANG!!
Lost in her thoughts, Arisa collides with a metal pole that separates the entrance doors. Bakugo turns back, instinctively grabbing her wrist to pull her inside the school. "Watch where you're going, dipshit!" he scolds, annoyance lacing his voice.
She pulls her hand away from her nose, realizing with dismay that it's bleeding. "Damnit..." Bakugo mutters, knowing he'll have to take her to get tissues now.
Spotting the girls bathroom nearby, he gestures toward it. "Go get some tissue. Hurry up," he instructs her, watching as she hurries inside to tend to her injury, his protective instincts kicking in despite his usual gruff demeanor.Arisa hurried into the bathroom, her heart racing as she grabbed napkins from the dispenser. She ripped them in half, shoving a wad up her nose to stanch the flow of blood, tilting her head back in a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding. Just then, a girl with vibrant pink hair and striking crystal blue eyes approached her from behind, concern etched on her face.
"Oh no, what happened?" she asked, her voice laced with empathy.
"Just a bloody nose; I get them all the time," Arisa replied, trying to downplay her embarrassment on what really happened.
"Oh well, let me help you with that," the girl offered, gently grasping the bridge of Arisa's nose and pinching it firmly. Miraculously, the bleeding ceased almost instantly.
"Whoa, how did you do that?" Arisa asked, pulling the tissue away from her face in disbelief.
"It's my quirk," the girl explained with a grin. "I can scan people's bodies with my eyes and figure out what's wrong with them. Then I can heal them with just a touch of the finger."
"That's a really cool quirk! You should totally be a doctor when you graduate," Arisa said, tossing the tissue into the trash.
"That's sorta the plan," the girl replied, her eyes sparkling with ambition. "I want to be a healing hero on the rescue team." She smiles then extends her hand, introducing herself. "I'm Max."
"Arisa," she said, shaking Max's hand, feeling a strange warmth from the encounter.
"So, what's got your love hormones on fire right now?" Max asked, her curiosity unabashed.
Arisa felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment. "What?"
"You know, who's the boy that's got you all worked up and crazy?" Max pressed, a teasing smile on her lips.
"You can see that?!" Arisa exclaimed, her heart racing as panic set in.
"I just told you I can see everything going on in someone's body. Keep up, girl," Max laughed, her lightheartedness easing the tension.
"You know what, I've gotta get to class. Sorry..." Arisa said, suddenly feeling uncomfortable with the direction of the conversation.
"Wait, I didn't mean to—" Max started, but before she could finish, Arisa quickly shut the door behind her, leaving Max standing there, a mix of regret and intrigue on her face.
