!!!NON-CANON AU!!!

Pin sighed and placed her hands in her lap, gazing out the window of her carriage. She had recently been made aware that the queen of the Plant Kingdom had been interested in meeting her. She was impressed by the girl's leadership skills at such a young age, so she agreed to take a quick vacation there, under her parents' permission.

So, here she was. Riding to a kingdom she was very briefly familiar with. She had questioned her decision numerous times, before ultimately deciding to visit anyway. She loved nature, which was the kingdom's specialty, and she felt it would be nice to get away from Needle for a bit.

"Princess." Her driver called, "We've made it. Would you like me to ride up to the castle?"

"No, thank you. I'll be fine." She refused politely. He nodded and opened the door for her. She stepped out, bowed to him, and marveled over the kingdom. She didn't spot a single frowning face as she walked through the crowds of people and plants alike. She even got a few friendly, excited greetings herself. "Even in unfamiliar land, people recognize me..." She thought out loud, as she stepped up to the large castle at the edge of the town. It towered over the rest of the buildings.

"I'm here to see the queen." She said, and bowed to the guards watching from the door. They looked at each other, nodded, greeted her, and opened it for her. She smiled at them as she stepped into the grand, spotless hall.

"This is amazing..." She whispered as she looked around at various plant-life around. She knew she'd enjoy it there.

Suddenly, a girl with red hair, only slightly darker than hers, walked down the stairs. Instead of a typical princess dress, she wore clothes more similar to that of a hunter. "Who are you?" She cocked her head to the side when she saw Pin.

Pin cleared her throat and smiled. "Good morning!" She greeted warmly, "I am Pin Point. Princess of the Point Kingdom. It's nice to meet you!"

It dawned on the girl quickly, and she nodded. "Right, Leafy wanted to see you. I'm Poison Ivy, her younger sister. It's nice to meet you too. Leafy's upstairs, make a right, and it's the first door to."

Before she could thank her, Poison Ivy had walked back up. "...Huh." She thought to herself, before shaking it off and walking upstairs. She followed the sister's instructions, and after a moment knocked on the door of what looked like a bedroom. After barely a second, a girl with long green hair answered. She had a necklace with a gold leaf charm on the end of it around her neck, and she wore a silk green dress with light green leaves embroidered on it.

"Oh, hello!" She smiled brightly at her, "Pin Point, right?"

"Yes, that's me!" She confirmed, "And you're...Leafy Lemon, right?"

"Yes! It's so nice to meet you!"

"Of course, you too!" She smiled finally. She was genuinely excited. She wasn't used to meeting leaders who simply wanted to get to know her, and not just to make an alliance. Leafy stepped out of the way so she could enter the room. "So, why did you want to talk to me, Leafy?" She asked, "I mean, I'm sure there's plenty of people in your kingdom you could meet. Your kingdom is beautiful, by the way."

"Oh, thank you!" She thanked gracefully. Suddenly, however, her smile faded, and she sighed. "Actually, I wanted advice."

"About what?"

"How to rule a kingdom. You see...I try my best to rule my kingdom the best I can, but I still feel like I'm not doing some things right. But you...You aren't even queen technically, yet you completely overshadow your parents. You'll be the perfect ruler, just like upu're the perfect person. We...Our worlds are so far apart. So...how do you do it?"

"Oh..." Pin frowned sympathetically, "She's doubting herself..." She sighed. "It's not as easy as you'd think. I'm not effortlessly perfect. Not at...ruling a kingdom, at least. But, personally, I think you've done a wonderful job."

Leafy looked up at her, "Really?"

"Absolutely. Looking around, I didn't see anyone upset. Or even frowning. And the place is so beautiful..." She sighed dreamily and smiled, "I don't think I could do a better job leading this community than you already have, Leafy."

She stared in shocked surprise for a moment, before cracking a smile of her own. "Thank you, Pin."

"No worries."

Hours sped by like seconds as the two talked, before Leafy suddenly smiled brighter. "You know, Pin. I wanted to show you something. Will you come with me outside?

"Oh, of course!" Pin grinned, and stood up. Leafy stood up as well, and took her hand gently. The swerved out of the castle's back door and into a large forest outside the courtyard. Pin gazed around at everything—the way the light glistened through the tree canopy, the beds of flowers surrounding her, the cool, pleasant air blowing against her...She was enamored.

"This is amazing..." She muttered, awestruck. Leafy chuckled. "I never get to go out to this kind of place..."

"Really? That's a shame." Leafy smiled at her, "Cause we aren't even at the best part."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive. Keep watching."

Pin nodded and continued to walk with the queen. It had suddenly occurred to her in the middle of the trip that she was still lightly grasping her hand. She blushed, but, in spite of herself, didn't say anything.

She...liked it, for some reason.

Finally, Leafy led her to the edge of a cliff, with a perfect view of the sun. Its beams perfectly hit the border of small, wispy clouds around it, and the sun was just beginning to set. The sky was a beautiful, faded orange, followed by a light yellow. "Oh my pin factory..." Pin muttered, covering her mouth with her free hand.

"It's wonderful, isn't it?" Leafy asked, sitting down and patting the ground next to her, coaxing Pin into sitting next to her.

"It is...I...I've never seen anything like it..."

"Maybe you should come visit the kingdom more, then." She looked away and blushed, "We could...watch the sunset together again."

Pin stared at her for a moment, before smiling. She wasn't even trying to hide her blush anymore, "I'd like that, Leafy." Leafy smiled slightly, and gently patted Pin's hand with her own. The two girls stared at the sunset together in a comfortable, warm silence. They didn't need to talk anymore. They had already said everything they needed to.

As they sat, a thought suddenly came to mind. A thought that made her smile widen.

Her and Pin's worlds weren't very far apart at all.

After all, they both saw the same sunset.
