Pope finally pulled up to the destination that was written in the file, but it didn't look right at all. "Are you sure this is the right place?" Cleo asked skeptically. "This is the pier."
"It was the address that was in the file. But he probably just gave a fake address," JJ pointed out. "That's what I would've done."
"We know," Kyla said with pursed lips, patting him on the back. She and him had moved up to the front with Pope and Cleo while Kiara, Rhi, and Alex were left in the back to get to know each other.
"I don't know. But I need some fresh air." JJ opened the door, stepping out of the truck. "Anyone, fresh air? Might as well take a look around."
"I think we've been getting fresh air this whole time," Alex voiced, gesturing to the three of them being in the back of the truck.
"Oh, haha," JJ fake laughed before his face fell, turning away from the redhead. Alex furrowed his brows at JJ's obvious reaction towards him right as Kyla stepped out of the truck, not seeing what the blonde had just done.
"Have fun," Pope called out to the couple.
"Oh, we will," JJ replied.
Kyla and JJ made their way up to the wooden pier, looking around. "So, what's our plan if we actually find this...killer?" She spoke up.
"Run," JJ immediately answered and Kyla gave him a look. "That's — I'm kidding, all right? We detain, extract, investigate."
"And how do you suppose we detain him when he's a grown ass man and we're still teens?" Kyla interrogated, raising a brow.
"Uhhh, I mean, we, like, sneak up on him, like, spy-like," JJ came up with.
Kyla began to nod. "Okay, okay. I mean, yeah, sure that could work. We're undercover."
"Exactly. We're undercover by being on a date right now," JJ came up with, pointing a finger at her.
"Last time we suggested pretending that we're on a date, we almost got killed by this guy," Kyla pointed out.
