KAI's POV

I've been here in the window for about 20 minutes, waiting the rain to stop. May plan kase kami ni Rain to go on a picnic but this time, luck is not ours.

"Bruh, seems like the weather hate us today, paano na tayo makakapag-picnic niyan?" I uttered in the disgusting voice.

Paano ba naman, we woke up early just to go here at Mapanuepe Lake, Zambales. Nahihiya na din ako since I also invited Kuya Patrick, Rain's cousin and his partner, Kuya Dingdong. They woke up early too just to drive and accomodate us.

"Let's just wait bruhh, it will stop soon. Just wait, okay?" Rain assuringly said. She get the guitar and started to strum.

Good to know, the apartment we got here is fully furnished and fully equipped. May books, may tv and video games, boardgames and any other things to do so that renters wouldn't be bored.

But this is not I want and not looking forward. I want nature!

"Wag ka na maburyo Kai, you can sing along with Rain oh. Both of you can sing, right?" Kuya Dingdong asked while chopping some veggies for our soup.

"Oo nga naman, sing for us para mas sumarap pa niluluto namin. Haha!" Kuya Pat jokingly said. I smiled.

These two are such parents.

I sat on the sofa, in front of Rain so that I can watch her clearly. Her soothing voice, her cute smiles and her emotions while singing..

Ugh, sino bang hindi magkakagusto sa babaeng 'to?

"Cause this pain I feel
It won't go away
And today I'm officially missing you.."

I remember when my feelings started  for this girl. Kung sa iba, sobrang babaw lang ng dahilan at kayang solusyunan, pero para sa akin, it matters. It really does.

I've been bullied for it before and Rain is the one who always stand up for me.

Rain knew that I'm just adopted. And luckily, my foster parents are the best. They treat me like their own child.

It's just one day, Mom confessed the truth.

I didn't blame them for keeping the truth for that long, instead, I'm still grateful that they wait for me to understand such complicated things.
I'm still grateful na pinunan nila and pinupunan nila 'yung pagmamahal para saken na ang dapat nagbibihgay ay mga totoo kong magulang.

Mom also knew my biological parent. She also said na may mga kapatid din ako, but hindi ko pa sila namemeet. And for me, hindi ko pa sila kayang harapin.

That's why, I'm being thankful to Rain and for her family.

I snatched the chorus from Rain 'coz this song is really good. While singing, I can't control myself not to look at her.

Damn feelings...

I slightly shooked my head and stop singing when Kuya Pat called us to eat. When I'm about to go in the table, I saw Kuya Dingdong looking at us.

No...Looking at me and smiled.

DINGDONG's POV

"Hey Love, I'll be the one to wash the dishes kase ikaw na nagluto kanina. Baka ma-pasma ka pa." I snatched the scrubber and the dishwashing liquid from his hands.

"Hindi naman nakakapagod magluto, especially if you love the things you do" Patrick stated while giving his cute smiles.

"Kahit na no', pa-consuelo ko na lang since ikaw na kumilos kanina." I defensively said when he about to tickle me in the nape.

"Stop, love. Ibabato ko sa'yo to and nakakahiya sa cousin mo and kay Kai if they might see us like this, flirting.."

"Eh, ano, they knew we're both couple and couples can flirt, can hold hands, can kiss...ouch! Why did you do that?!" He started to wipe out the bubbles from his face.

Ang kulit kase. Baka marinig 'nung dalawa. He started to pout but I just pinched it.

"Maiba tayo, Love. Wala ka bang napapansin sa cousin mo at kay Kai?" I asked Pat.

"Napapansin like what?" He responded.

Baka kase mali lang instincts ko. Or mali lang nafefeel ko, or talagang feeling lang ako. Char.

"Like, hindi ba sila parang tayo? Ganon.." I gave him a segway while I'm removing all the bubbles from the plates. I turn off the faucet and faced Pat.

"I don't think so love, Rain is straight. She's not used to wear fancy dresses or to look like girly but I'm sure that she's straight. She likes boys." Pat stated while fixing his hair.

"Oh Rain is straight, but the other is not..." I added. I know something's up with Kai.

"Hahaha grabe ka naman, you're so judgmental ha. How can you say so?" Pat thinks na I'm judging his cousin's bff.

"Hmm i don't know, maybe the way Kai looked at Rain is something, haha. Anyway, ayun lang naman ang napansin ko. Don't take it seriously.."

Agad kong pinagpag 'yung kamay ko nang matapos ko lahat ng hugasan.

Kai and Rain were in the other room and playing video games. Patrick checked on them too.

Still, the rain is unstoppable. They can't go out yet.

But I guess, Kai's feelings is more unstoppable. And it might be the first one to burst out.

I trust always my guts.

Been there, done that.
