RAIN's POV
It's midnight, and felt a little bit hungry as my stomach growled. I curled up on the bed, trying to feel Kai on the side, only to find out that I'm left...alone.
Jeez, Bruh just left me ALONE.
Where the heck is she?
I rubbed my eyes and try to roam my hand where's my eyeglasses as well as my phone.
1:35 AM.
I open the flashlight on my phone, didn't want to turn on the lights of the room as I don't want to disturb Kuya Pat and Kuya Dong's sleep on the other side.
Hmmm. Makainom na lang muna ng tubig. I saw some cookies in the fridge as well as yogurts.
Hurriedly get 2 of it then look for Kai.
Then there she is, half sitting and lying on top of the trunk of the car.
"Psst." I whispered.
Let's take a look if she will be scared.
Lintik lang walang ganti haha. Iniwan niya ako mag-isa sa room e.
"Bruh, I know you're in there. Don't try to scare me because I don't scared that easily" she proudly said.
"Hahaha, okay?" I jokingly tease her.
I sat also beside her and ginaya ko 'yung pwesto.
It seems like very comfy.
"So, what's the momentum here? Can't sleep?" I asked in a curious tone while handing her a disposable spoon and the strawberry yogurt I got in the fridge.
"Uhmm, just thinking some sort of stuffs. I guess 'yun ang di nagpapatulog sa akin." Kai responded.
I can see her faint smiles, looking at me then she will avoid and look up in the night sky.
I also look up, then I saw some stars, shining brightly.
"It's so beautiful.." she said in awe. I disregard her comments but insistly asked her.
"You know Bruh, you can tell me a lot of things, even it really doesn't bother you or it really does bother you. Pwede mo namang sabihin sa akin, I'll always listen."
I saw her flinch a bit and sighed.
What's the matter, Kai? Seems like you have a big problem.
"You know what the stars and you are in common? " She asked me, out of the blue. She just take the yogurt but didn't open it.
"We're same cute?" I responded, waiting for her reaction.
But she didn't laugh. 'Di naman ata talaga nakakatuwa.
"First, just as stars illuminate the night sky, you aim to enlighten and guide me all the time".
Huh? Is she a joker? E pinapahamak ko nga siya minsan.
"Stars are always there, even when we can't see them clearly and just blinking. Similarly, you are available 24/7 for me." Kai added while still looking up.
Nakakaloka, ginawa ba naman akong CCTV niya.
"W-wait, are you just that amazed of me? I know Bruh, I'm cute like those stars" I chuckled.
I knew it, she's just kidding.
Pinagtitripan ata ako 'neto dis oras ng madaling araw.
"Contemplating stars can evoke awe and inspiration. Just like you. You strive to provide me sparks and fascination." Kai added.
"Wews, Kaisha, I'm getting chills right now. May kapalit to 'no? May papagawa ka na naman sa akin?"
I chuckled. My bruh is complimenting me this time. And i know may favor 'yan. But ang cringe, jeez.
"Lastly, stars are part of galaxies and the universe. Just like you, you're a part of my own universe."
I stopped eating and looked at her.
Is she sick or what? Unli compliments Bruhhh??
After a few seconds, she look at me and see her twinkling eyes.
Is she crying?
"He...hey, I'm just kidding Bruh. I know I'm not taking seriously whatever you are saying, I'm sorry"
I hurriedly put down the yogurt and get closer to Kai.
OMG. She's really crying. What the heck?!
"Bruh, what's wrong?" I'm about to wipe her tears but she got my hand and put on her cheeks.
I felt the warmth even the cold air breezes. I also felt her teardrops..falling, sliding on my hand.
"Kai..." I comfortly said.
"I like you"
Wa-wait...what?!
She lightly grab my shirt.
Shit.
Her lips, are on my lips...
Shit, shit.
What's happening?!
Her face move apart in few seconds, leaving me caught off-guard and my eyes in disbelief.
I'm sure nakita niya 'yung pagmumukha ko after 'nun...
She hurriedly go down the trunk and walked away. Until, i can't see her shadows anymore.
I try to call her, but there's no voice coming out of my mouth.
Para akong naging estatwa dito.
