KAI's POV
I heard the loud knocks on the door as I'm trying my best self not to wake.
Yes, i don't want to be awake. I'm still embarassed on what happen a while ago.
I tried to take a peek if Rain's slept beside me. But all on this room was just me.
I guessed she didn't sleep here.
"What should you expect Kai?" As i massage my forehead while talking to myself.
And still, there's someone knocking the door.
"Kai..kai..., gising ka na ba? Let's have some breakfast"
It's Kuya Dingdong.
"Uhm, yes, kuya, palabas na."
I hurriedly stood up and fix myself. Looking in front of mirror, the scene with Rain just flashed back.
Jeez, what I have done? Paano ko mahaharap si Rain 'neto.
Nonetheless, I found myself walking to the table. And there she is, just scrolling on her phone.
Nakakainis na ganito 'yung reaction niya na parang wala lang sa kanya yung nangyare.
I sat beside Kuya Dingdong but wrong move coz I'll be facing Rain.
Rain stop using her cellphone when she feels like I'm looking at her.
Naintimidate na naman sa kagandahan ko. Char. As if, magkakagusto din sa akin 'to. Wake up, Kai!
"Here you go, you should eat well." Kuya Dingdong said while putting some fried rice on my plate. There's also hotdogs, fried egg, tuyo, spam and cornbeef.
What a perfect breakfast, isn't it? Pero para akong walang gana. It'll be embarassing if I will not eat.
"Thank you Kuya Dingdong" I smiled. I'm really thankful sa kanilang dalawa.
I saw her putting some rice on her plate too, she avoided my gaze when she caught me looking at her.
Still, hindi kami nagpapansinan.
Nakakainis na ha.
'Till we're done eating our breakfast, walang ni-usap usap. I wonder if the couple notice it. Bahala na.
I just want to know or to hear her side about what I did 'nung madaling araw. Bakit wala siyang reaction?
Did she took it as a joke?
F*ck, hello? I just confessed and kissed her and she just gave me a "no reaction".
She's even cold to me.
PATRICK's POV
"You were running through me like water
Now the feeling's leaving me dry
These days we couldn't be farther
So how's it feel to be on the other side?"
We're heading back to Manila and I'm the one who's driving the car. Dong's just playing in his cp and I know ML na naman 'yan.
The 2 girls in the back are so quiet, kala mo naman mga napagod, ni wala masyadong activities na ginawa.
I chuckled.
"We used to be close, but people can go
From people you know to people you don't"
Ano ba naman 'tong kanta, heartbroken ba admin 'netong radyo?
Trying to change the song when Dong stopped me.
"Love, let it be." He said.
"Uh, why? Gusto mo niyang song?" I asked while lightly chuckled.
"Basta" He responded and smile.
"And what hurts the most is people can go
From people you know to people you don't"
I looked at the rear view mirror, Kai is just using her cp while Rain was asleep.
Tumingin ulit ako kay Dong and he just smiled again.
"Ohhh...okay. Love, we have to talk later." I said while getting my focus on the road again.
After a 5-hour long drive, we dropped the 2 girls on their houses and parked at the near starbucks.
"Walanghiya ka, kala ko pa naman uuwi na rin tayo" Dong's laugh was over the the car.
"Of course, you need to tell me something fishy. Why those two are quiet? Di nag-iimikan, it's very unusual e." I asked simultaneously.
"Pwede, order muna tayo sa loob." He jokingly stated.
We've entered the coffee shop and I hurriedly ordered Cafe Latte for Dingdong and Caramel Macchiato for me. I also ordered a blueberry cheesecake for us to share.
When I got our orders, I fix myself and ready to lend all my ears out.
"Love, spill it out. Ano bang meron? Nag-agawan ba sila ng boyfriend?"
I asked like maybe this is the main reason bakit ganun sila.
"Shunga, hindi."
"Eh ano, di nagpautang si Rain ng pera?" I asked again. What would be the reason?
"Hindi rin, teka lang, let me finish no and sip my drink" Nakakalokong sabi ni Dong.
Nakakainis naman to. Ayaw pa sabihin.
"Eh ano nga?" I asked again. I really want to know. Maybe I can help that 2 girls.
"Kai is in love with Rain" Dingdong said.
"We-wait...Kai is what?!" I exclaimed.
"Shheeessh, love, hinaan mo boses mo. Nasa coffee shop tayo." Dong said habang napapakamot sa ulo.
"How can you say so? They were just obviously bffs, no other else." I explained.
"Love, I heard it personally and di ko naman sinasadya din na maconfirm. At first, that's are just my guts. Pero I just confirmed it yesterday. I don't want to explain further, but that's the summary. Kai is inlove with your cousine but she can't reciprocate it. Period." Dong stated.
"And now, they are in the stage of trouble. So we should act soon para di magkasira yung dalawa." He added.
I nodded and thinking to talk with Rain sooner or later about it.
Hindi naman sa panghihimasok, aside from Rain is my cousin, both of them is like our child na ni Dingdong.
Hoping we can be a big help as adults, especially, we're almost in the same scenario before I and Dingdong had this kind of relationship.
