Izuku looks for that whisper till he see's a dimly lit alley, a shadow flickered at the edge of perception. large, glowing yellow eyes pierced through the night, reflecting an intelligence that belied his monstrous form. Sharp, pointed ears twitched, catching every sound in the air—a whispered conversation, the distant hum of a passing car. Curved, jagged horns sprouted from the sides of his head, one broken, adding to his battle-worn appearance. Beneath his elongated snout, razor-sharp teeth glinted, a reminder of the predatory nature that lay beneath his unsettling beauty.
In a striking feature, parts of the creature's skull were partially transparent, revealing a pulsating, exposed brain beneath a thin layer of protective membrane. The brain glowed faintly, responding to his emotions and powers.
"It was a Nomu." Izuku thought.
His retractable claws clicked softly against the concrete as he landed, ready to strike or retreat at a moment's notice. A flicker of bioluminescent patterns danced across his wings, casting an eerie glow that illuminated his surroundings just enough to enhance the tension.
Izuku reached out his hand and prosecuted light from it, temporarily disoriented the creature. Izuku used flight to escape.
"So All for one used the bat quirk for that..." Izuku thought, hiding in the bright city.
"You can't escape the night," a whisper slithered through the air, wrapping around him like a tightening noose. Izuku's heart raced as the words hung ominously, an unsettling taunt that set his nerves on edge.
Before he could react, the creature struck. He swooped down, wings unfurling like dark sails, casting an imposing shadow over Izuku. With a flick of his clawed foot, he unleashed a sonic pulse, a blast of sound that reverberated through the night. The impact knocked Izuku off balance, disorienting him as he stumbled backward, struggling to regain his footing.
"Get a grip!" he muttered to himself, activating his strength quirks. He could feel the power surge through him, but the whispers of the creature filled his mind, seeking to unnerve him. "This is just a distraction," he reminded himself, focusing on the ground beneath him.
The creature darted back into the shadows, a blur of movement that was both mesmerizing and terrifying. He was toying with him, using hit-and-run tactics that made it nearly impossible to predict his next strike. Each time Izuku prepared to counterattack, the creature would vanish into the darkness, leaving only echoes behind.
Gathering his resolve, Izuku concentrated, trying to anticipate Noctis's patterns. He planted his feet firmly, summoning the strength of overclock. "I can't let fear control me," he whispered, eyes scanning the darkness.
Suddenly, The creature emerged again, a dark silhouette against the night. Izuku launched forward, fists glowing with power, but the creature was quick, dodging to the side with unnatural agility. The ground beneath Izuku shook as he unleashed a powerful punch, sending debris flying.
But the creature was already gone, disappearing into the shadows, his mocking voice lingering in the air. "You'll never catch me, Master."
The game of cat and mouse continued, tension crackling in the air. Izuku felt adrenaline coursing through him, the fear transforming into determination. He couldn't let it win. He had to outsmart the creature of the night.
With a sudden burst of clarity, Izuku noticed the pattern in it's movements. He feigned an attack to draw the creature out, then pivoted on his heel, launching a swift counter when the creature lunged.
"No more games!" he shouted, channeling full force into a single, concentrated punch.
In that moment, time seemed to slow as it emerged from the shadows, ready to strike. But Izuku was ready. With a roar of determination, he connected with the creature, the impact sending shockwaves through the air.
For a heartbeat, they stood locked in a fierce standoff. it's glowing eyes widened in surprise, and Izuku felt the thrill of victory surge through him.
"The hunt was far from over." Izuku thought, then saw it drop something.
"A knife?"
