the glade

THOMAS POV:

it had been 5 days since Thomas first came up in the box. A lot has happened since then, he had already kind of adapted to their busy lifestyles and how every day was the same, it didnt bother him at all, he had friends and Newt. he was his favourite one, ever since his fist night in the glade. his life was pretty good, apart from the torturing first couple of days. he knew he woudn't adapt to their life so easily, since...well, he had forgotten everything but his name. None of the shanks were kind to him, he found that weird, but by now he has adapted to it.

"hey greenie, what are you doing 'ere?" The blonde boy said to him, as he saw him lying down in the forest." taking some rest and enjoying peace, you?" Thomas responds, his gaze fixed on the smiling Newt.

"was about to do the same, but then I saw ya" Newt chuckles, as he sits next to him, looking over the glade. "wow, so kind Newt" The brunette- haired boy smiles, looking back to the field of grass infront of them. "come on Tommy, you know I was just kidding" Newt smiles at the boy, scooting even closer to him. Butterflies. He felt them swirl in his stomach, making him want to puke. Why was he feeling like that? after all they were just best buds.

"yeah yeah, I know" Thomas replies, pulling his knees closer to his stomach, in hopes that that will ease the butterflies. " so how's the runner lifestyle 'been treating you?" Newt asks him, still smiling. "Great actually, it might surprise you of how many things there are to see." Thomases eyes light up as he quickly explains his work to the glader. "So...walls and... vines?" Newt confusingly replies turning to the blonde boy, "yeah... but there's much more to it beleive me, this whole system of walls and how theyre changing." Thomas explains grinning, because he could finally explain how fun running was to someone.
