Kie and I stood there rooted to the spot. The situation was not good. Not good at all. All the kooks were staring at us as if we were aliens on earth for the first time. I didn't like that at all. I was so warm and everything about me was glowing. Let's not even talk about my heart. Kie was also visibly overwhelmed. She kept looking around and holding my hand very tightly.

"You owe me money, Topper!" suddenly came out of my mouth. I looked at him seriously.
" 8 thousand is still missing. You lied to me." I felt my anger boil and my free hand clenched into a fist. Topper looked at me in horror and slowly walked towards us. "Are you sure you Pogues haven't already spent it on drugs and alcohol?" He grinned filthily and the crowd laughed like it was the funniest thing they'd heard in years. As I looked around, people were whispering. They giggled and shook their heads. Rafe suddenly came out of the crowd and when he saw us, he stopped and glanced quickly at him. "what's going on here?"  Then he looked at us again. "Your great friend still owes Ana 8 thousand. He lied to her!" Kiara shouted at him. Rafe looked surprised, but his gaze quickly turned cold again.

"You all have no idea! Topper can't be trusted! You liar! How can you do this to her after she did everything she could to get your order ready today?" Kie was very angry. If she felt she was being treated unfairly, she would burst. And rightly so. He just clapped and laughed dirty. It was finally too much for me too. "What the fuck, Topper? You know how much we need the money and you're taking advantage of me like this? How can you be so disgusting?" I looked at him angrily and felt everything inside me explode. "Thank you for your kind words. But I always have a soft spot for poor bitches like you, especially you, Winston." He reached into his trouser pocket, took out a few bills and coins and threw them on the floor. The others also groaned in horror.

No one had ever shown me such disrespectful behavior. I could only stare at him. Disgusted and disappointed. I slowly let go of Kie's hand and walked towards the money. "Ana? What are you doing? No.." She looked at me in shock and wanted to stop me.
But I stopped and looked Topper in the eye. " you know what?" He stood there with his arms crossed and looked at me with a grin. "What?" With a force, I slammed my fist against his jaw and he staggered back at the impact. He spun away from me and buckled. He held his face and his whole body trembled. The Kooks were horrified but at the same time fascinated and cheered me on. I was breathing very quickly and felt both satisfaction and fear.

Kie looked at me proudly and nodded. "You did good and he deserved it!" Rafe helped Topper up, but didn't take his eyes off me. When he finally stood, his jaw was red and starting to turn slightly blue. His eyes were red from the tears he had shed. " You... You fucking whore. How dare you touch me?" He was really angry and stroked his wound gently. Suddenly he came towards me. With long strides he was almost in front of me and my heart slipped into my pants. Surely he wouldn't hit women? Although I don't think anything is impossible with the Kooks anymore. Everything in me was on alert and Kie quickly pulled me towards the door. But he didn't get any closer to me because someone somewhere threw a stone through the window. Everyone was startled and the alarm system started beeping. Topper stopped, startled, and covered his ears. "Who broke the window?" he shouted. Rafe came and grabbed him by the shoulder. "You should come down." He pressed his hands tighter against his shoulder blades and Topper closed his eyes.
