After leaving Topper's property, I stopped a few houses away and breathed in and out deeply. I had to replay the whole scene again to realize in amazement that I hadn't folded. I'm proud of myself for going through with it and holding the money in my hand. I picked up my phone and texted Kie that I was fine and that everything had worked out. I smiled with satisfaction and made my way towards the parking lot.

In the meantime, some kooks pulled up, they had huge sports cars and loud music on, they were definitely going to see Topper. "You dirty pogue, you have no business here, get out!" Someone shouted at me from one of the cars. There was a roar of laughter afterwards, as if he had made a huge joke. I got nervous and hugged myself to give myself protection and security. I certainly didn't want any trouble, especially not when there were so many of them.

When I finally got to the parking lot, my friends were standing outside leaning against the van smoking a Joint. When Kie saw me, she shoved her joint into Pope's hand, who gave her and the others an overwhelmed look, and ran to me. She greeted me with a big hug and I had to be careful not to fall over. I laughed lightly and returned the hug.

"Damn, we were so worried. We wanted to come and have a look." She looked me over with concern and looked me in the eye. "Did everything go well?" She shook me gently by the shoulders and pulled me towards the others. They all looked at me with relief and gently tapped my shoulder. "We knew you'd make it." John told me, smiling at me like a proud big brother.
" Hopefully you have finished them off ." Grinned JJ, taking off his cap, brushing his hair behind and putting it back on. "Did he at least give you the money?" Pope asked cautiously, holding out the joint to Kie. I showed them the 4 envelopes and grinned widely. "He said there's 5k in each envelope." The others clapped and were pleased. "Can I have a look at it?" he asked me calmly. "Of course, Pope. Maybe you'll be able to tell if it's real money or not." I said with a smile and handed him the envelopes.

He took them and sat down in the van. He then went through his Backpack and took out the flashlight to count the money. "How was it?" John asked curiously.

"Well, it was okay actually. There wasn't much going on and before Topper saw me, Rafe was there." I leaned against the van and his name made everyone exhale in annoyance. "He's the worst of them all. The vain Kook prince. Riding his noble Horse called 'Cocaine'." JJ told it like it was a fairy tale story, but he wasn't entirely wrong.

There were a lot of rumors that Rafe was getting involved with Barry to buy drugs. JJ's dad, Luke, has apparently seen him a lot. He said you can't miss Rafe, especially because he doesn't fit in with the Pogues. Although his father, Ward Cameron, has the highest status here in the Outer Banks, he doesn't seem to be particularly proud of him. His daughter, Sarah Cameron, is usually in the foreground, just like her little sister, and Rafe is often more in the background. Nevertheless, he is supposed to take over the family business one day and run many good businesses. But if you look at him, he is more interested in parties, alcohol, sex and drugs. Schoolwork is at the bottom of his list

But why it all happened is unclear. The only questions I ask myself are how did he get into it and was it his intention or someone else's fault? A person who is somewhat happy would never do something like that to themselves. I felt pity for him, even a little bit of guilt because we were making fun of it.

The laughter of my friends brought me out of my thoughts, apparently JJ was making another joke, but I wasn't listening. I glanced between them at Pope, who was just talking in his head, and that's where we mustn't disturb him. He's in his element and an incredible friend. "I've got it!" He suddenly shouted. Everyone turned to him.
