Months passed, and the distance between Kinn and Porsche grew wider. Porsche, once a fixture at family gatherings, started to withdraw completely.

Even at large family events, he would make excuses to stay in his room or leave early. He couldn’t bear to be around Kinn, especially after what happened next.

It was Korn Theerapanyakun’s birthday, and both the Theerapanyakun and Kittisawat families had gathered for the celebration. Porsche’s heart was heavy as he dressed for the occasion. He had been dreading the event, knowing he would have to face Kinn again. But Because of his parents  after weeks of isolating himself, Porsche reluctantly agreed.

As he walked into the grand ballroom of the Theerapanyakun mansion, the sounds of laughter and conversation filled the air. Porsche kept his eyes down, hoping to blend in with the crowd. But he couldn’t ignore the way his heart skipped a beat when he saw Kinn across the room.

He was standing with a group of friends, looking every bit the confident young man he had grown into. His arm was casually draped around a boy’s shoulders—a boy Porsche didn’t recognize.

His stomach twisted painfully as he watched Kinn lean down to whisper something in the boy’s ear, making him laugh. It was then that Korn stood up to make an announcement.

"Everyone, I have a wonderful surprise for you all,"

Korn began, smiling broadly.

"My son, Kinn, has an important introduction to make."

Kinn stepped forward, pulling the boy along with him. Porsche’s heart raced in his chest, his feet frozen to the floor.

"This is Tawan,"

Kinn said, his voice full of pride.

"he’s my boyfriend."

The room erupted in applause and cheers, but all Porsche could hear was the deafening sound of his own heartbreak.

He stared at the scene in disbelief, his vision blurring with tears. He had known Kinn didn’t love him the way he loved him, but seeing him with someone else—seeing him happy with someone else—was too much to bear.

Without a word, Porsche turned and fled the room. He ran up the grand staircase, his breath hitching as he tried to hold back the sobs threatening to escape.

He reached his room and slammed the door shut, collapsing onto his bed.

The tears came then, uncontrollable and raw. He had lost him. Any hope he had been holding onto, any lingering belief that maybe, just maybe, Kinn would change his mind—was gone.

For hours, Porsche lay there, his body shaking with sobs. He didn’t even hear the soft knock on his door until porchay  slipped inside.

"Hia,"

Porchay whispered, sitting beside his brother.

"I saw you leave. Are you okay?"

Porsche shook his head, his voice broken.

"He has a boyfriend. He’s happy… with him."

Porchay didn’t say anything for a long time. He simply pulled Porsche into his arms and held him as he cried.

"I’m so sorry, hia," he whispered.

Porsche felt like his world had crumbled

Porsche felt like his world had crumbled. He had lost not only the person he loved but also the part of himself that had believed in love.

In that moment, he decided that he needed to distance himself—not just from Kinn, but from everything. He couldn’t stay here, living in the shadow of his unrequited love.

And so, as he lay there in his brother’s arms, a new resolve began to form in his heart. He needed to leave, to get away from everything that reminded him of Kinn. Only then could he begin to heal.
