The day after Korn Theerapanyakun’s birthday party, Porsche made a decision that would change his life forever.

He could no longer stay here, in the same city, the same environment that reminded him of Kinn. It hurt too much.

Every corner of his world was filled with memories of him, and seeing him with Tawan had broken something inside him that he wasn’t sure could ever be repaired.

His mind was made up. He would leave Thailand. He needed space. He needed to find himself again.

And after hours of searching online, he found his answer: a business school in Russia that accepted international students.

Later that evening, he gathered the courage to talk to his parents.

They were sitting in the living room, watching TV when Porsche walked in, his stomach tight with anxiety.

"Mom, Dad…

can I talk to you both for a minute?"

His parents exchanged curious glances before Namphung turned off the TV.

"Of course, sweetheart. What’s on your mind?"

Porsche took a deep breath, his fingers fidgeting with the hem of his shirt.

"I’ve been thinking about something for a while now.
I want to study abroad."

Pat raised an eyebrow.

"Study abroad? Where?"

"Russia,"

Porsche said, his voice steady despite the turmoil in his heart.

"It’s a great opportunity, and I think… I think it’s what I need."

Namphung’s face softened with concern.

"Porsche, are you sure this is what you want?"

"You’ve never mentioned wanting to go so far away."

"I know, but I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately,"

Porsche replied.

"I just feel like I need a change, something different."

"I need to focus on my studies, my art and I think this program will really help me do that."

Pat leaned back in his chair, looking thoughtful.

"You’re finished with school here, though. Are you sure that you want to study abroad? You can wait and think again........ "

"I don’t want to wait,"

Porsche said, his voice firmer now.

"I need to do this now."

"I know it’s sudden, but… I just feel like it’s the right choice."

Namphung looked at her son closely, sensing that there was more to Porsche’s decision than he was letting on.

"Is this about Kinn?"

she asked gently.

Porsche flinched at the mention of his name, but he shook his head.

"It’s not about him. This is about me, Mom. I just need to find myself again."

His parents were silent for a long moment, and Porsche’s heart raced as he waited for their response.

Finally, Pat nodded slowly.

"If this is really what you want, then we’ll support you.

"But it won’t be easy being so far from home."

"I know,"

Porsche said softly, his chest tightening with emotion.

"But I have to do this."

Namphung reached over and took Porsche’s hand.

"We’ll miss you, but if this is what you need, we won’t stand in your way."

Tears welled up in Porsche’s eyes as he smiled at his parents.

"Thank you."
