As Vivianna and Joana continued to run into the cliff of the canyon, they ambushed the Dark Raptors.
The Dark Raptors, focused on their pursuit of Vivianna and Joana, didn't see the ambush coming. The two zoids turned suddenly, launching themselves at the raptors with a burst of speed. The ambush caught the Dark Raptors off guard, and several of them were taken down in the onslaught.
The Dark Raptors fought back, but their numbers were dwindling quickly. They were no match for the combined skills of Vivianna and Joana, and they were starting to realize it.
The other Dark Raptors retreated.
The remaining Dark Raptors, seeing their comrades fall, began to retreat. They turned and fled from the battlefield, leaving behind the broken and damaged bodies of their fallen kin.
Vivianna and Joana watched as the raptors retreated, their zoids standing tall and proud. The battle was far from over, but for now, they had won this round.
"Let's check the others." Joana said.
Vivianna nodded, her gaze still fixed on the retreating Dark Raptors. "Good idea. Let's go check on the others."
The two pilots turned their zoids and headed back toward the rest of their group.
They soon reached the others, finding the Forest Wolves battered and bruised but still intact. The pilots were assessing the damage to their zoids, checking for any major repairs that needed to be done.
"We need our zoids need to be repaired back at the headquarters of the guerrilla hideout, Lieutenant Stewart, you contacted the headquarters of Blue Storm Kingdom and tell them that we found Crown Princess Vivianna, the crown princess of the Red Dragon Empire, is alive and leading the guerrilla forces to stage a revolt to overthrow the masked emperor of the Red Dragon Empire." Joana said.
Lieutenant Stewart nodded, already pulling out her communicator. "Roger that, I'll contact the Blue Storm Kingdom HQ right away and inform them about Princess Vivianna's survival and her role in leading the rebellion."
Lt. Stewart quickly punched in a few commands on her communicator, establishing a secure communication channel with the Blue Storm Kingdom HQ. She began speaking into the mic, her words urgent and clear.
"We need all the help we can get if only I could find another group who also part of the rebellion, stage a revolt against the masked emperor." Vivianna said.
Joana nodded, her mind working quickly. "Yes, finding other groups who are part of the rebellion would be a big help. We need all the allies we can get to take on the Masked Emperor and his forces."
We just have to be careful about who we trust," Captain Brooks interjected. "There's a lot of information and misinformation floating around these days. We need to make sure we're dealing with genuine allies and not potential enemies."
The other pilots nodded in agreement, their faces serious. They knew the importance of being careful in these dangerous times. Trust was a scarce resource, and they had to be judicious in whom they chose to align themselves with.
"In the meantime," Cprl. Holiday said, "we should focus on repairing our zoids and preparing for whatever comes next. We need to be ready when the time comes to take the fight to the Empire."
"For now, we need all the guerrila group need to rest." Vivianna said. "I already tasked Sgt. Klaws and his men to guard the guerrilla headquarters, while we are gone searching for another group that were also part of rebellion, who were planned to stage a revolt against the masked emperor's forces, by tomorrow."
