"You know," Alice broke the silence. "Every one of your students would kill to be in my position right now."

"Really?" Tom smirked.

"Yeah. What? You aren't aware that every student of yours has a crush on you?" She inquired jokingly.

"No. At least, not until a few minutes ago." He retorted.

Alice narrowed her eyes and threw her pen at him, earning a fake 'ow' and a laugh from Tom.

"In Shakespeare I, I sat next to a girl who would not shut up about your butt." Alice giggled.

"Did you agree with what they had to say?" He raised his brow.

"Until I give it a nice squeeze, I can't create my own opinion." She put her hands up by either side of her face.

"Hopefully, that will happen in time." Tom teased, peeking his eyes over his computer screen at Alice.

He watched as Alice tried to fight against the smile forming on her face. When his office hours were finished, he gave her the thirty-minute break to go and talk with the dean. She knocked on his door and he called to her for her to enter the room. She peeked her head in and waved to him as he stood from his seat.

"Hi, I'm Alice Sherbrooke. I emailed a bit before winter break about my office assistant credits." She spoke.

"Oh, yes, Miss Sherbrooke. Nice to put a face to the name. Have a seat." Jack greeted her.

Alice sat across from him and felt her heart race in her chest.

"I do have a short period of time before my next meeting." He said, leaning forward in his seat.

"I was hoping to register for the office assistant credits again." Alice told him.

"I thought you wanted to drop them?" Jack furrowed his brow, crossing his arms over his chest.

"I did but Professor Hiddleston needs me back on it." She replied.

"Well, I can just get him someone else then." Jack chuckled, turning towards his computer.

"But I want to!" She interjected.

Alice chuckled nervously as Jack turned to face her, furrowing his brow at her outburst.

"I want to be the assistant again. I thought I would be stretching myself too thin, you know, needing the time to focus on my senior project. Then I thought it would be beneficial because we agreed the show would be my senior project." Alice explained.

"Alright. I'll contact your advisor to override you for the credits." Jack spoke.

"I'll just tell Professor Hiddleston." Alice said.

"I have to email so that-"

Jack cut himself off once he looked up Alice's advisor on his computer.

"He is your advisor. Okay, got it. Let him know then." He finished.

"Thank you." Alice exited the room.

She made her way to the theater and continued her rehearsals for the performance. Afterward, Tom and Alice went back to his office. He quickly overrode her course selection and signed her up for office assistant credits.

"When do you work at the theater?" Tom inquired.

"Wednesday through Sunday. I get to the theater at seven and the show starts at nine, ends around ten or eleven and I get home by midnight." Alice explained.
