Before she could finish she was cut off by Kiara causing Pope & JJ to look at her, "He's our friend, not yours." She said bluntly, clearly annoyed about her discovery of John B & Sarah.
"Look, I know. It's not got anything to do with me, I get your all worried about him, but we've been told he'll be okay. I'm not telling you all to go away but it's been really long and i think we all just need rest. I would go too but, Sarah and my dad are here." She sighed, trying to reason with Kiara hoping she wouldn't pick a fight.
Kie just rolled her eyes, "I don't know why you're telling us what to do, it's practically your fault this happened."
Addie just raised an eyebrow at her until JJ stood up, "I think Addies right." She snapped her head even quicker than before, confused as to why JJ was sticking up for her as she definitely thought he would be the most stubborn about her idea of leaving.
"You do?" Kiara asked, Pope also looked pretty confused.
JJ sighed, "Obviously i don't want to leave John B, he's my best friend. But look, we've been here for what, 5 hours? And i don't know about yall, but im sick of this fancy ass suit, not my thing." he shook his head causing Addie to let out a small chuckle.
Pope stood up with JJ, "He's right, Kie. Let's just go and we can come back in the morning."
Pope and Kiara walked away together while JJ stayed behind for a moment, walking towards Addie as she was confused but hoped she didn't have an expression on her face.
"Just to let you know, i know it wasn't your fault. Kie knows it too, she's just angry."
Addie felt a lump in her throat, she gulped and just nodded, trying to find words to continue the conversation, but all she could say under a small whisper was, "Thank you."
