Noticed

Days passed, and I settled into a rhythm, focusing on my duties and trying to keep out of trouble. The work was grueling, but there was a new face that made things a bit more bearable—Austin, a friend of the Boss. He was unlike anyone else in the estate. While the other men wore stern expressions and seemed ready to snap, Austin had a warmth to him, a lightness. He didn't throw his weight around or look at me with that piercing, cold gaze everyone else did.

He would stop by occasionally, chatting with me about random things—plants, food, even music. He became a good distraction from thoughts that drifted to the Boss far too often, thoughts I couldn't explain.

Today, after completing a tiring errand for the head maid, I wandered outside, following a quiet path through the estate grounds. That's when I found it—a massive, shimmering pool tucked behind high hedges, hidden from the busier parts of the estate. It was peaceful, just the sound of water lapping gently at the edges.

I smiled, memories of home flooding back. I'd always loved water. Whether it was a stream or river, I couldn't resist diving in, letting it wash away my worries. Feeling a little rebellious, I slipped out of my uniform, leaving on my matching bra and panties—the only decent set I owned. Without thinking twice, I took a deep breath and dove into the cool water, the sensation of weightlessness refreshing me instantly.

Laughter bubbled up as I swam around, kicking off the tension that had been building up over the past few days. It felt freeing, as if I was back in the streams of my childhood, away from the stifling walls of this place.

I didn't notice the eyes staring at me.

I froze under their piercing stares, feeling a rush of heat bloom across my cheeks as I became hyper-aware of my body, practically bare and soaked, with only my bra and panties clinging tightly to me. I felt naked under their gaze, as if every inch of me was on display. My heart pounded wildly, and I could see the men's eyes lingering on me like I was some kind of meal served up before them.

I held my uniform tightly against my chest, trying to cover myself, but their gazes didn't waver. My cheeks burned as I noticed their smirks and glances, lingering just a bit too long.

Then the Boss's voice cut through the tension. "What do you think you're doing here? His words were low, mocking, and cold. He leaned back in his chair, a hint of amusement flashing in his eyes.

I swallowed hard, feeling my voice shake. "I... I didn't know you were having a meeting, sir," I stammered, hating how vulnerable I sounded. The cool air made the water on my skin feel like ice, only heightening my awareness of my bare skin and the way the thin, soaked fabric clung to my chest.

He tilted his head, his gaze roaming over me, and I felt exposed, every nerve on edge. "Next time, find a less... distracting place to take a swim," he said, the faintest hint of a smirk pulling at his mouth as if he found my predicament amusing.

Without another word, he dismissed me with a slight wave of his hand. I turned and fled, ignoring how my ass bounced with each step I took, hearing low groans and a few murmurs ripple through the men as I left, cheeks burning, clutching my clothes to my chest.

As I hurried back to the quarters, my thoughts spun with embarrassment. I'd never felt so vulnerable—or so noticed.

I how felt like, I had just made the biggest mistake of my life.
