*Alex 's Morning*

(A loud alarm blares, playing the song "Ek Bhayanak Aatma Hai" from Golmaal Again.)

(Alex is deep in sleep, mumbling in his dream)

Alex (murmuring): "Martha... Martha..."

Alex's Mom: "Alex, beta, wake up! Aren't you going out with your friends today?"

(Alex doesn't respond, still snoozing... until he gets a surprise wake-up in the form of a flying chappal ( slipper)

Alex (jerking awake, dazed): "Martha... Martha... wait, please don't slap me! Since when did your hands get so... thick?"

Alex's Dad (from the doorway): "That's not Martha's hand, son. That's your mom's chappal."

Alex: "Mom!! Why the sneak attack?"

Alex's Mom (laughing): "Just making sure you're still breathing, beta. Thought you'd drifted into another dimension!"

Alex wakes up, stretching his arms and yawning. His phone displays 7:00 AM.

*Alex's Inner Monologue*

"Today's the day. Martha's going to be at the metro. What if she still hates me?"

(Alex gets out of bed and starts getting ready)

(Alex, looking nervous and pacing around his room, calls Steve.)

Alex: (anxiously) "Dude, I don't know if I can do this. I haven't seen Martha in months. What if she still hates me?"

Steve: (mocking tone) "Oh, she definitely still hates you. I mean, who could blame her? You ghosted her for like... a whole semester. That's a championship-level move, my friend."

Alex: (groans) "I didn't ghost her, okay? I just... I needed some space. I was dealing with a lot of stuff."

Steve: (laughing) "Space? Bro, you were avoiding her like she was a youtube advertisement. And now you're showing up at the metro like you're some kind of knight in shining armor?"

Alex: (sighs) "I'm just trying to fix things, alright? I messed up, Steve. I don't want her to think I'm some jerk."

Steve: (sarcastic) "Oh, trust me. She already thinks you're a jerk. But don't worry, she's probably forgotten all about that time you spent weeks texting her with one-word replies like 'k' and 'lol.'"

Alex: (laughing nervously) "Okay, okay, I admit that was bad. But I did get her that coffee mug she wanted for her birthday, remember?"

Steve: (snorts) "Yeah, the mug that says 'I'm not a morning person.' Real romantic. I'm sure that definitely made up for ghosting her, Alex. Good work, champ."

Alex: (rolling his eyes) "You're brutal. You know that?"

Steve: (mock serious) "Hey, I'm just trying to keep it real. Look, Martha's probably already moved on and is living her best life. You're just gonna walk in, throw out a couple of 'sorry I'm a jerk' lines, and hope she doesn't notice you've been a total idiot for the last three months."

Alex: (nervous laugh) "Wow, thanks for the support. Really feelin' the love here."

Steve: (grinning) "What can I say? I'm a realist. But honestly, you're probably overthinking it. Just go in there, act like you're not sweating bullets, and be slightly less awkward than usual."
