Stella
"Is it hotter than usual," I ask my friend,Kylie, while leaning against the lockers. Using the cool metal to make me less hot."No. Feels normal to me, but you're not looking so great," Kylie responds and I sigh and send a sarcastic smirk.
"I think I look amazing. Thank you very much." As proof I stand properly and act like I didn't just get sort of dizzy.
"Right.... Well, I'll see you after class," Kylie tells me and leaves quickly since she's hardly ever late.
I head to my class and sit to the side. Friends are limited in my life due to my family's choice to of lifestyle. Hence, why I'm also feeling miserable.
Through the weekend my dad and uncle took me on a hunt. It was a vampire nest and one of them threw me through a wall. And my side got cut open by a piece of metal stick by out of the ground. There are some bruises and scrapes but I'm used to it.
I covered up the wound already, but it's still bleeding. "Alright, class. Today you will be split into groups of three for the project on your desks. The names of who you are with are on the sheet of paper."
I look down at the paper with a frown. I'm not in the mood to socialize or do work. "Cool if I sit?" A familiar guy's voice greets my ears. Only due to his popularity.
I look up and see Cole and another popular girl, who is always causing other people trouble but acts all innocent.
"By all means," I say simply and motion for them to pull up a chair. We read the project and need to get the materials. "I'll get the ingredients," I say and get up only to get dizzy again and fall against the table. "Ugh."
"You alright?" Cole asks, staring at me with critical blue eyes and stands up. I wave it off, and hold my throbbing side.
"Yeah, yeah. Fine," I respond and go to walk again but this time the wave af dizziness gets worse and I fall to the ground and hit someone else desk making a scene.
Well, this isn't good. "Yeah, I don't thinks so. Come on," he says and helps me stand up making me wince because I stretched the wound and can feel blood leaking out. "I'm taking her to the nurse."
He doesn't wait for permission and simply walks out with me. Well this is embarrassing.
"It- it's fine. I can walk myself," I tell him but evidently keel over onto the lockers because I'm in pain.
"Ok, what's wrong. Let me see," he tells me looking where my hand is under my jacket. He goes to move my jacket to the side, but I push his hands away. "What the hell? Your shirt is covered in blood."
"Yeah. It's nothing. I swear. I can take care of it. No need to involve doctors or anyone else," I mention.
He looks at me as if I'm dumb to which I grimly smile. But it falls with the black dots that fill my vision. The bell rings and instantly the halls are filled. That was the last class, so everyone is in a rush to leave or go do extracurriculars.
I start to walk while holding pressure on my side feeling the warm goo sticking to my hand. He follows me out the door and all the way into the parking lot. "Don't follow me pretty boy. People are staring," I call out . A couple of girls stare as we pass by them.
Hey groans making me look back and I realize he's limping while trying to jog up to me because of his football injury. I only know this because this school floods with gossip. Sighing I stop.
"Hate to be that guy. But you are not driving like that. Come on," he tells me and basically starts dragging me by the arm to his car as if he's in charge. But honestly I'm getting weaker by the second and the last thing I want is to crash the car.
