The next couple days consisted of so much training. Since I needed a distraction and Dean had nothing better to do. Unless you count him flirting every woman in town.

My dad was busy researching and grading papers much to his dismay. Seeing my friends just seemed like a bad option and I gave Cole his wish. I left him alone. Didn't text or call him or ask is siblings if he was ok.

The power went out the next day and I told my dad and uncle I'd be fine as the go to the Lark after Dark thing. But I was definitely worried when the lights went out.

I don't even think ghosts can use my blood in any physical way so there's no reason or even a way for them to come for me.

Sighing I try the electric box outside using a flash light but it wasn't working either. Just as I was headed in a hand covered my mouth and someone pushed against the door.

Of course I didn't bring any weapons out with me. "I've been waiting for you to be alone," he says into my ear and then spins me around so we were eye to eye. His eyes search mine like he doesn't really know what he's doing. "You know why I'm here."

My eyes scan his, confused because he doesn't seem like he wants to hurt me. He has wild dark curls of hair and his face is ridiculously sculpted into sharp features. Then his dark blue eyes bore into mine looking tortured.

It's not until I see fangs coming out of his mouth do I worry. He's a vampire. Probably the most good looking one I've ever seen. But that doesn't matter.

"What are you waiting for then? Get on with it," I spit out and he sighs shaking his head.

He leans in and I gulp as he pushes my hair back behind my neck. I don't what was wrong with me, but I didn't fight him. Everything I've trained for completely slips my mind.

"You smell so good," he deep voice rings in my ear and his breath fans my neck making me shiver. "I.. wanna be human again. Would you help me?"

His voice breaks like he hated to even ask. Which is against a vampire's nature. "You'll kill me. You can't stop. Vampires have no control," I respond with steady voice but inside I was afraid.

He pulls back and looks down at me and straight into my eyes. "I promise I will. I'm not exactly like the others. My name is Christopher."

I stare at him with wide eyes assessing him. Everything in me wants to trust him and ultimately he could've killed me easily. Vampires like to play with their food though. But they strike first with no questions later.

"Ok," I say simply and his eyes narrow in surprise. "I don't know why. But I trust you," I explain.

He nods breathing a little heavier as he leans towards my neck once more, gently moving my head to the side. It was so odd and my heart is pounding as I waited for the pain.

Almost like he was trying to reassure me his large hands run over my cold arms and the grabs me by the waist just before he bites down. A whimper left my lips and I fell back , but he seemed to be anticipating it as he holds me up.

Long seconds tic by as he sucks my blood out and I start to wonder if he's actually going to stop. As if he had to remember he unlatches his mouth from my throat and holds me up as my head droops a little.

Small black dots fill my vision and in one swoop he picks me up and carries me inside. Somehow he finds my room easily and sets me on my bed.

But he can't do much else, before he starts groaning and falls to his knees on the wooden floors. He grabs his head and I watch as his teeth become fangs and his eyes darken before it all goes away again. Then he's panting like something is physically happening inside him like it hurts.
