Mom And Dad

As you walked out of the prison Daryl was talking to Rick on the back of a motorcycle. You walked up making the both of them look at you. Rick didn't say anything just simply patted Daryl on the shoulder before walking back out to the field. "We're going on that?" You asked looking at his transportation.

"Problem?" He asked turning the key to start it up.

"No not at all," you hugged getting on the back of it, you put your hands on his hips hoping to god you wouldn't fall off and bust your head open. As it began to move you slowly tightened your grip on him as the two of you took off to find formula for the baby that sat inside waiting for his return.

The sun was beating down as walkers got a little too close for comfort. The ride once again felt like it was taking forever as you directed him to the small store. As you arrived you got off almost stumbling you quickly regained your balance as Daryl just light snickered getting off as well.
Daryl took the lead quietly on guard as you followed, he opened the door to reveal two walkers, he shot one and you took on the other stabbing it in the head and letting it hit the floor.

He went straight to the baby section and you looked around eventually coming across a small candy bar, you picked it up and put it in your bag before you heard Daryl pst at you. You quietly walked over. He quickly turned you around ripping your bag open and started filling it with formula. As he did so you looked up noticing a couple more walkers walking by the window. "Daryl," you whispered making him look up before pulling you down making you stumble. He quickly pushed you frontward to keep you from falling ontop of him. He stayed crouched moving away from the sight of the beasts and you of course followed only stopping when you came across this cute stuffed bunny.

You grabbed it and continued on. The two of you stayed out of sight and stayed as quiet as possible as the walkers past. After a minute or two you and Daryl walked out of the store only having to kill one walker. He got on the back of his bike looking at you.

You simply huffed putting the bunny in your bag. "A rabbit?" Daryl asked looking at the toy you found and was lowkey excited about it.

"Yeah, it's cute is it not? I'm sure Judith will love it," you said confidently. You were about to swing your leg over to get back on the death trap they call transportation that's when you seen a child peeking around the corner of the building. "Daryl," you whispered watching the child out of the corner of your eye.

"Hmm," he hummed before turning. As he turned the child moved out of your sight. You quickly turned and headed for the corner of the building. "Y/n," you heard Daryl quietly holler.

You peeked around the corner your eyes looking down to see the child curled up as she was trying to hide in plain sight. Daryl caught up looking down at the child. "Hello?" You said softly sitting down next to her gently putting your hand on her shoulder. She slowly looked up at you with tears in her eyes, she looked about nine, and you could tell she was frightened. "Do you wanna come with us?" You asked softly trying not to scare her even more.

"I- I don't know where my mom and dad are," she whispered with a whimper in her voice as if she was ready to give up and break down.

"We can help you find them,"you said softly. Daryl turned and headed back to his bike. Your grabbed the girl gently following Daryl. "We need to find her family," you said practically chasing him with the child following behind you.

"I ain't," he said harshly not even taking a second to think about it.

"Fine whatever, we don't need your help," you said turning around to the child. "Where was the last time you saw your parents?"

She took your hand and started walking leading you. You looked back to see Daryl just watching the two of you leave. You simply stuck your tongue out at him.
As you kept walking you looked around keeping your eyes open. The little girl then walked up to a house stoping before even hitting the steps. "I woke up and they were gone," she spoke softly.

"They couldn't have gotten far," you said looking around. You took a deep breath not even knowing where to start. After a minute or two you looked down at the girl. "Let's double check the house first." With that you checked the entire house before going to the next. You thought maybe they got hurt or hiding out somewhere.
You opened the door to the next house slowly walking in keeping an eye out for anything. You heard thumping upstairs when you turned to go up the stairs you heard growling right behind you making you whip around to a walker coming right at you. Your grabbed your weapon but as soon as you did a walker fell down the stairs making you jump backwards tripping over the arm of the walker you just killed dropping your weapon.

As the walker stood you moved towards your weapon quickly turning around, as soon as you did the walker fell to the ground with an arrow in its head. You looked over to see Daryl as he walked in grabbing his arrow.

You stood up dusting yourself off. "Decided to help?" You asked him.

He simply huffed at you before speaking, "I heard yelling." He turned and walked out with you and the girl following. As you walked down the road you heard a yelling in the distance. It was faint but it couldn't be that far. The three of you started chasing around the disembodied voice. The three of you made it to a house, the yelling had stopped by the time the three of you made it there. Daryl walked up to the door standing to the side ready to put down anything that got in front of him.
You put your hand waiting for Daryl to nods with the girl behind you and as soon as he nodded you opened the door.

He quickly moved in and then you, held you weapon ready to bonk a walker in the head. The two of you checked downstairs with him going one way and you going another. Meeting back up before heading up the stairs. The whole home was checked except for one room. You opened it stopping as you seen a walker over a body. You ran in killing the walker and as his body hit the floor the little girl walked in as you stabbed the half eaten woman in the head.

"Mom? Dad?" She slowly walked over to them before she started crying. You quickly hugged her moving her out of the room before shutting the door. As you stood there with the crying child in your arms Daryl walked up.

"We found them," you said softly. It looked as if the father was bit and the mother couldn't put him down. You didn't want to think too much into it.
